Full Moon of Snow Jeffrey Ricobaldi

Outside, a blizzard that no one can stand So inside I sit with my cup of tea And a warm, sweet comfort it is in hand Waiting until the storm ceases to be Outside, the wind howls and tree branches snap Unearthly cold the winds deep winter bite No concern to me, inside in warm rap As I ponder the windows future sight Time goes by, the hours roll on and on Day has turned to night, the storm has now past I gaze out the window upon the lawn The sight I prayed to see has come at last A snowy landscape you can’t see in June A landscape that glows beneath the full moon
