DINING SERVICES

At Penn Dining, We Crave: Community, Wellness, Variety, Convenience, and Flavor. Our dining plans and cafés are designed to be an integral part of the full Penn experience. Our locations provide the right food, staff, events, and fun so that your student has everything needed for an enjoyable meal and a great start at Penn. Recognizing the dining experience will be part of your student’s daily life, Penn, together with our service provider, Bon Appétit, is committed to your student’s well-being by: • Cooking food from scratch with fresh seasonal ingredients. • Serving a wide variety of menu items at each meal and at every dining café, keeping things fresh, fun, and interesting. • Creating great tasting and nutritious food for our vegetarian, vegan, kosher, halal, Jain, and international diners. • Focusing on special dietary and nutritional needs through our on-campus Registered Dietitian Nutritionist.

Parents and guests are always welcome to dine in any of our 15 locations on campus. In addition to visits and Dining Dollars, we accept cash, credit, and PennCash in all of our residential and retail locations. We take our role in the community seriously by making socially responsible purchasing decisions in regard to produce, meat, seafood, eggs, and coffee. We also compost kitchen waste, use recycled materials in all our cafés, and donate leftover prepared food to organizations addressing food insecurity in our community.

How Do Dining Plans Work? First-year undergraduate students are required by the University to purchase one of three first-year dining plans. Dining plans are a combination of visits and Dining Dollars. Upperclass undergraduate students can choose between nine dining plans to best fit their lifestyles.
