Advisors in Academic Advising Programs (AAP) serve as general practitioners, providing students with assistance in understanding graduation requirements, general education, major exploration, course selection and registration, University policies and procedures, and strategies for academic success. AAP is also the advising home for undeclared students and the first stop for students with general advising questions. Advisors see students daily on a drop-in basis. Visit the AAP website at www.csuchico.edu/aap for current advising drop-in hours. Students who have declared a major will have the additional support and resource of their major’s department advisor. The major advisor serves as a specialist, providing specific advice on program requirements, planning and course selection within the major, internships, and other opportunities related to a student’s major.
