Get Engaged with the Parent and Family Volunteer Network

Adopt-a-Dorm Ambassadors enhance first-year and transfer students’ living and learning experiences both inside and outside the residence halls, helping the Housing and Residence Life staff better meet students’ physical, spiritual, and emotional needs.

Annual Fund Ambassadors support by assisting the Pepperdine campaigns, recruiting, and introducing potential Pepperdine Associate members to the University. Athletic Ambassadors attend on-campus and off-campus athletic competitions and gatherings in support of our Waves. Career Ambassadors assist the Seaver College Career Center by serving as career coaches and mentors, speaking about a company or industry, and/or providing internships, informational interviews, job listings, or company tours. Register on PeppConnect as a mentor or employer. Fine Arts Ambassadors support the efforts of the Fine Arts Division by assisting with meals for load-in and -out days, attending fundraising events, supporting students and faculty with travel abroad opportunities (Edinburgh for Theatre and Prague for Choir), and assistance with student productions such as Fall Musical, Dance in Flight, and Songfest. Local Ambassadors host local events and volunteer at on-campus events such as Waves Weekend, NSO and the Malibu Admission Reception. Regional Ambassadors serve as the outreach to current, prospective, and incoming students and their families. Activities include volunteering at the fall information sessions and spring admission receptions in their cities, where they can offer testimonials regarding their experiences as Pepperdine parents, hosting Send-off parties or events. Spiritual Life Ambassadors enhance students’ spiritual life formation by supporting monthly Pepperdine Parents in Prayer, hosting prayer gatherings and prayer walks, supporting the Center for Faith and Learning initiatives and The HUB for Spiritual Life Enhancement, and committing to daily prayer for the needs of the University.

Wave Classic Golf Tournament

Ambassadors support the annual Wave Classic Golf Tournament held each October by volunteering, sponsoring, donating auction items, or playing golf.

The Parent and Family Program office and the Parent and Family Leadership Council are the two ways we establish and maintain that connection.

We appreciate your involvement in your student’s college experience and look forward to spending time with you.
