Advisors in Academic Advising Programs (AAP) serve as general practitioners, providing students with assistance in understanding graduation requirements, general education, major exploration, course selection and registration, University policies and procedures, and strategies for academic success.

There are many ways that we can help your student be successful.

1 | Connect With Resources

With a variety of academic and extracurricular options, students have many choices and we want to make sure they are aware of all of the resources available. Advisors will listen and respond to their interests and concerns, and serve as a resource for their academic and life goals.

2 | Select the Right Classes

Through individual advising sessions, workshops, and presentations, advisors can assist students in understanding general, education and graduation requirements, and selecting appropriate courses for each academic term. The more your student knows the better their chance of creating an exciting education experience! Students will have access to a variety of e-advising and online resources to assist in their course selection.
