Student and Guest Artists on Display: Art teacher Pam Sutherland has curated a collection of works by her Honor’s Art class and Allison Seay’s Rhetoric and Composition class in which the written word was paired with a visual image that captured the same theme. She titled the collection “See/Say”. Works are on display throughout the Sharp Academic Commons and the Hershey Center for the Arts during November, December, and January.
Collegiate parent Julia E. Pfaff shared some of her art from her “Quilt a Week” project. These pieces were displayed in the Lower and Upper Schools during November.
On November 25, 2014, First Grade students put on a Native American Celebration for their families and friends under the direction of Christine Hoffman. They performed songs and dances honoring regional groups of Native Americans and wore regalia which they created, modeled after authentic garb of these groups.
