My Home By Ethan Today was not a good day. I was scolded in class, and spilled all my food and water during lunch. After school I was crying until my grandma came to pick me up. On the way home, I started to smile. Do you know why? I have a little secret. My secret is…my house is ‘magical’! When I arrived home, my house started to shake. Suddenly, it turned into a restaurant with an amazing chef! I had delicious chicken rice. After I finished eating, Uncle Chris came over to play. The house shook and transformed again! This time, into a playground. We built Legos, played dodgeball and the floor even turned into lava! My uncle turned into a huge Lava Monster and chased me all around the house! Ahhhhhh! We were all tired, sweaty and smelly. Uncle Chris had to leave, and I needed to take a shower. After my shower, my house turned into a big art room. I tried to draw and colour my magic house. I really love art and I really love my home. While I was drawing, I felt the house started to shake again. “Oh no, what is it going to turn into now?” I could smell something really yummy. The house turned into a restaurant again and Grandma Chef brought over rice, meat, vegetables and my favourite fruits: strawberry and watermelon. Yum! After dinner, my belly was so full. I asked my house to transform into a theatre so I could watch Octonauts. I laughed and learnt so much from the Octonauts. I could even sing along to all their songs! It was starting to get late, and I was getting sleepy. This time, my house transformed back into my own homey home. I changed into my pyjamas and crawled into my bed. I read my favourite book, “One Hundred Bedtime Stories”. The stories reminded me of my own adventures in my magical transforming house. To me, my home is my magic house and everyone inside of it. I smiled as I slowly closed my eyes. Today was a good day.
