My House During Covid-19 Dear children from the future, This is a letter to tell the world about a historical moment and how I lived it. When Covid-19 started, there were no vaccines and all the world was so scared, this was in March, 2020. We were all in lockdown. At the beginning, I felt my house was like a jail, because I couldn’t see my friends, play sports or visit my family. I felt really sad but then, I thought about other people that were in a worse situation than me and they didn’t have a home. Until that moment, I never thought about the importance of a house in a person’s life. During the lockdown, my house was used in a different way than always: the living room was a gym, the garden a football stadium, my parents’ room a cinema and the studio a classroom. My mom learned to cook things she didn’t do before, my dad did housework and my sister and I helped as much as we could. Sometimes I dreamed that the walls of my house were made of masks, and prevented the entry from Covid. However, this was not the case because Covid-19 managed to enter. We spent some very ugly days with my dad in the hospital, but luckily, everything went well and we got back together again. In these two years, with my family we did things that we didn’t do before, and so everything became easier and time passed faster. We really had a lot of fun and connected as a family. The pandemic is not over yet but it left us with many new rules to follow, such as the use of masks, gel alcohol and social distancing. However, not everything was bad in the pandemic, my parents gave me the best gift in the world, and I did not expect it: they gifted me my puppy Teo, he is my best friend now. Although my house is not the largest and most beautiful in the world, during this time I learned to value it and love it, since it gave me everything I needed. It is my safe place, where I can express myself and enjoy every single moment with my family. Lulo
