The Wonders of Science
By: ArjunScience is a process of studying the natural world by observing, investigating and conducting experiments. Scientists use hypothesis and save evidences to get the efficacy of the research done by them. Science is all about inquiring, explaining problems, using different materials and investigating along with their prediction. Science is all about study things from stars to black holes, the Big Bang to the universe, plants to trees, animals to humans, dinosaurs to fossils, and many more. From the mystery of the galaxy down to the planet Earth, we see Science all around.
In school I learnt atoms and molecules, matter and friction, renewable and non-renewable energy, Boyle’s and Newton’s law. At home I see churning of fat molecules in milk cream to butter, adding citric acid (vinegar) to curdle milk to cheese, lights in the rooms and phones to communicate. In hospitals I see medicines, vaccinations, transplantation of organs, in general anatomy by doctors. We live in the modern world which is technology driven but enabled by science. In other words, I can say that science revolves around us. Every single day we experience something new because of Science and that’s what fascinates me the most.
Science is my favorite subject because of these three reasons Number one is that it helps me understand the world around us. Another reason is that when I grow up, I want to become an engineer but not just any engineer, I want to be an Eco-friendly Robotic Engineer which means that I have to include scientific calculations to get the results of what my invention should be. The last and final reason is that I love the strategy of science as it always starts with a question, then the research, later hypothesis and then prove it with the help of an experiment. Once you complete your experiment you support it with a lab report which has the result of your experiment and concludes if your hypothesis was right or not.
Can you think of a day without science which means no cars, no electricity, no gadgets, no devices, no medicines, no alerts and there is no end to this list….
Scientists job looks fancy when they wear white coat, put on big clear glasses, hold the vial and feed data in the computer. But that’s not the reality, in the laboratory they give birth to new discoveries and find solution for all the problems related to science. Thanks to all the Scientists, who studied and worked hard to make our life easier, who found cures for all the viruses, who dug Earth to uncover the history, who flew to galaxy to find another home, who warned us about Global Warming to save us from future disaster
