There may be a drawbridge and portcullis gates that drop quickly. The idea is to trap you in a killing zone – so be careful.

The castle’s defenders will use them to drop all kinds of deadly nastiness on top of you. towers Towers like these let defenders shoot in all directions. There’ll be nowhere for you to hide from deadly arrows or musket balls. Towers may also have a base that spreads out, called a talus. Getting close to do proper damage will be difficult.
