Hundreds of years ago, when the castle was first built by Lord Sigwin –
The Hound?? Hou
it was always under attack from the lord’s enemies –
so Lord Sigwin bought the biggest and fiercest dog in all the land to patrol and protect the castle.

But the Hound, as it came to be called, was so terrifying it frightened the lord and his family out of their own home!
So the Hound lived all alone in the castle – Raaa! Raaa! Raaa!
and some say that it still lives here!
