I. THE VIEW
The Objective is to capture the architecture and spaces through the city from the clouded perspective of a tourist. This means trying to mute the constant noise from the masses of the tourists and capturing the spaces either with our without the interruption of the horde.
II. THE CATHEDRAL
Spaces evoke a huge range of emotions. Cathedrals and religious spaces create an idea that the room brings you closer to God. While architects still try to achieve this, modern day cathedrals are at the mercy of the horde.
III. THE PALACE
We shape our buildings. Thereafter, they shape us — Winston Churchill
IV. THE BRIDGE
A historical landmark bears the brunt of the masses. Once a regional icon, the increasing popularity of a place falls fowl to the rampant and savage nature of the hordes of tourists that flock and kill the original essence of the space.
V. THE LIBRARY
Quiet tranquillity in the heart of the city. Contemplation and study are the views from this main artery of the city. Successful design, or nosy and noisy neighbours? How does one truly concentrate when one is constantly being observed and interrupted like animals at the zoo.
VI. THE SQUARE
Further from the core, a smaller unknown square is surrounded by residents and inhabitants. Used in a more delicate and caring nature, by the people who live there. Contemplation area by the people who need it most, not blighted by the horde.
