ATASCADERO — On Sunday, Mar. 20, Wild Fields Brewhouse held a Maker’s Market from 12 to 3 p.m., with proceeds from sales going to a local-run relief effort in Ukraine. “We did a podcast with Jaime Lewis from ‘Consumed,’ and then her newsletter, when
it came out, included a blurb about Jake from Midstate Containers because he’s one of the podcast sponsors, and it was just really brief,” said president and co-founder of Wild Fields Jacque Fields. “It was, you know, he lived there [Ukraine] for 10 years, his wife is from Ukraine, they had their children there, and they’re on the ground helping families.” CONTINUED ON PAGE A15

ATASCADERO — The Atascadero City Council celebrated two ribbon cuttings
over the last week, one for Lift Station #2 and another for the Local Transportation Fund Road Improvement Project. One of the largest lift stations in town, Lift Station #2, needed repair and a size update. The lift accepts wastewater from residential and commercial dwellings between Santa Rosa Road

and Vielo Camino. The council also celebrated rehabilitation of the sidewalks on San Gabriel and San Marcos roads. This week, The Atascadero City Council met for their regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, Mar. 22, at 6 p.m. The hybrid meeting was held

PASO ROBLES — Formerly known as Vintage Paso: Zinfandel Weekend, the Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance (PRWCA) introduced its Spring Release Weekend on Friday, March 18 through Sunday, March 20. The threeday event celebrated spring, and wineries released their newest wines with an outdoor walk
around in Paso Robles City Park. Friday’s downtown Paso event sold out, with about 400 attendees. Wine enthusiasts had 44 wineries to taste from at the Spring Release Walk-Around Tasting in the park with live music from Dante Marsh.
