HISTORIC DOWNTOWN CASTLE ROCK Located just two miles from the hustle and bustle of the Outlet Mall, Historic Castle Rock Town Square is a charming surprise filled with restaurants, antique malls, boutiques and specialty shops. Castle Rock’s Historic Town Square was built in 1874 in the shadow of “The Rock” a prominent rock formation set high on a bluff overlooking downtown. The old courthouse, surrounded by historic buildings, colorful shops and restaurants, is the center piece of this lovely, tree shaded area. Today, The Square and neighboring streets are buzzing with activities, including art shows, free concerts, car shows, Octoberfest and more!
