Now operating independently, DYAO maintains three levels of youth orchestras for students ages 7-23, with some traveling from as far away as Steamboat Springs and Colorado Springs for weekly rehearsals. In addition, DYAO provides before- and after-school music programs in six local elementary schools and “Conductor in the Classroom” programs for middle and high school students. The Colorado Symphony and the Denver Young Artists Orchestra are thrilled to collaborate on our shared vision of music education as a cornerstone of the future of live, symphonic music.
