ERIC ROTH, conductor
AWR Music’s Eric Roth is a formidable musical force: a music director/ conductor, an orchestrator/arranger, a producer of concerts and recordings, a composer of original music, and much more.
Eric is the music director and chief arranger for A New World: intimate music from FINAL FANTASY, the chamber music ensemble concert production by AWR Music Productions and video game developer SQUARE ENIX. Since premiering in 2014, the production has performed outstanding concerts on four continents and released two acclaimed full-length recordings. He is also the associate music director and an orchestrator/arranger for Distant Worlds: music from FINAL FANTASY, the global live orchestral performance phenomenon.
Eric was the conductor of the orchestra for The Beach Boys’ unprecedented Holiday Vibrations Orchestra Tour in 2022, performing many of his own orchestra arrangements of these all-time great songs with the legendary band. He was the conductor of the orchestra for “Weird Al” Yankovic’s historic Strings Attached Tour in 2019, performing dozens of monumental multimedia shows throughout the United States and Canada. Eric was also the conductor of the orchestra for the once-in-a-lifetime Surprise, Oprah! A Farewell Spectacular! concert at the United Center in Chicago with a roster of performers which included Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Patti LaBelle, Usher, Kristin Chenoweth, Jamie Foxx, and Josh Groban. He has also worked as a conductor on projects with Five for Fighting, Seal, Jewel, Dennis DeYoung and Stevie Nicks, and has conducted many prominent symphony orchestras and other ensembles around the world.
Additional orchestration/arranging credits include two best-selling Mannheim Steamroller Christmas Symphony albums, the Pat Benatar/Neil Giraldo orchestra production with the Pittsburgh Symphony, KC and the Sunshine Band with the Memphis Symphony, Five For Fighting orchestra and string quartet productions, Twelve Doors: Tribute to Noriyuki Iwadare, and many others.
Mary Louise Burke is in her 31st season as Principal Associate Director of the Colorado Symphony Chorus. In addition to assisting Chorus Director Duain Wolfe, she also prepares the chorus for various Colorado Symphony pops concerts and special projects, including Too Hot to Handel. In the summer of 2022, she conducted the Symphony chorus on their concert tour of Austria. She has worked as the Associate Director of the Colorado Children’s Chorale, participating in hundreds of concerts and dozens of the Chorale’s regional, national and international tours. She was also Vocal Director of the Children’s Chorale, where she provided specialized vocal coaching and opera preparation. With an expertise in vocal technique, Burke frequently conducts seminars in vocal and choral techniques for area church and community choirs. She is the Vocal Advisor at Montview Presbyterian Church and has taught classes in Find Your Authentic Voice at the University of Denver. She has a Doctorate in Voice Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Colorado.

COLORADO SYMPHONY CHORUS
The Colorado Symphony’s 2024/25 Season marks the 41st year of the Colorado Symphony Chorus. Founded in 1984 by Duain Wolfe, our chorus has earned a reputation as one of the finest symphonic choruses in the United States. This outstanding chorus of volunteers joins the Colorado Symphony for numerous performances each year, to repeated critical acclaim.
Under the direction of the Colorado Symphony’s Principal Conductor Peter Oundjian, Resident Conductor Christopher Dragon, Chorus Director Duain Wolfe, Associate Chorus Directors Mary Louise Burke and Taylor Martin, and guest conductors from around the world, the Chorus performs the great Masterworks, as well as pops concerts, movies, and special projects. Additionally, the Chorus has been featured annually at the Bravo!Vail Music Festival, performing with the New York Philharmonic, Philadelphia Orchestra or Dallas Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of notable conductors Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Jaap van Zweden, Alan Gilbert, Fabio Luisi, Hans Graf, as well as 25 years with the Aspen Music Festival.
In 2009, in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Chorus, Duain Wolfe conducted the chorus on a 3-country, 2-week concert tour of Europe, presenting the Verdi REQUIEM in Budapest, Vienna, Litomysl, and Prague; in 2016 the chorus returned to Europe for concerts in Paris, Strasbourg, and Munich. In the summer of 2022, the Chorus toured Austria, performing to great acclaim in Vienna, Graz and Salzburg.
