What Inspires You? It’s a simple question but different for everyone. I find inspiration in beautiful design, exciting style, our natural environment, and in helping those less fortunate find a brighter future. I have also had the opportunity in my career to be able to make each of these a central focus of my business activities. Ten years ago I started 3form, which makes beautiful, environmentally friendly, translucent resin materials. We have successfully created an entirely new category of truly stunning design products that set the standard for environmental responsibility. Today 3form is a $100M company with over 400 employees.

Recently I saw the opportunity to create fresh, new jewelry and fashion accessories that suit a wide range of lifestyles and tastes. I challenged the Amber designers to create a line that worked for a young surfer on the West Coast, a professional in New York City, or a stylish stay-at-home mom. A line that could move seamlessly between the office and the gym, the kitchen and the cocktail party. All done in a way that is kind to the planet and creates brighter futures for women around the world. This was the vision for Color by Amber. Today, Color by Amber is fast emerging as the most exciting new idea in the world of fashion and entrepreneurship. What is Color by Amber’s Full Circle program helps support, educate and empower women artisans from a variety of selected communities around the globe including Senegal, Mali, Nepal, and South America. While we are proud that our jewelry is made in the USA, our process uses ecoresin to encapsulate a wide range of amazing design elements that originate from farreaching, richly diverse artisan communities. We work closely with Aid to Artisans, a non-profit, to help identify and build relationships with these selected groups. As you explore the jewelry in this catalog you will discover the rich beauty of natural design elements like handspun silks, mohair fabrics and raffia grasses, each of which represents a unique group of women artisans. In addition to providing a fair-trade wage and benefits to these communities, Color by Amber donates a portion of the proceeds from the sale of

these products to help fund important infrastructure and training projects, including irrigation systems, technical schools and women’s micro-savings groups.
