THE HEALTH OF OUR HOSPITALS: EFFECTS OF PROPOSED LEGISLATION – 6-8pm. A recently completed NYS Department of Health analysis shows that repeal of the Affordable Care Act will result in $13.7million in funding cuts to the 13 hospitals in Congressional District 19. Locally, Health Alliance (previously Kingston and Benedictine hospitals) will lose $1,367,237 annually in revenue which surely will effect both staffing and services. In response to these potential cuts, Indivisible Saugerties will sponsor a forum entitled The Health of Your Hospitals. The featured speaker will be David Scarpino, President and CEO of Health Alliance. The forum will be at the Saugerties Senior Citizens Center at 207 Market St., Saugerties. For information, please call Mike Harkavy at (845) 246-7493.
