Bharatpur A year round treat for birders. One can expect to see various species of migratory birds along with summer visitors & resident birds. Spread over 29 sq km, this Bird Reserve offers well defined walking routes where one can also hire a rickshaw for the day. Better even are the ‘off the beaten tracks’ with awe inspiring colourful birds in their natural habitat. A pair of good binoculars is a must to closely observe behavior of birds, whic h always is a treat. Open year round. Keoladeo National Reserve locally known as Ghana, and is a mosaic of dry grasslands, woodlands, woodland swamps, and wetlands. These diverse habitats are home to 366 bird species, 379 floral species, 50 species of fish, 13 species of snakes, 5 species of lizards, 7 amphibian species,7 turtle species, and a variety of other invertebrates. Bharatpur also offers interesting crowded market places and the Lohagarh Fort. There are several good hotels/resorts in and around the park, catering to every budget to pick from. Sultanpur A convenient weekend getaway from Delhi, Sultanpur is a National Park for our feathered friends along with several mammals. Spread over 14.3 sq kms, it has a lake right in the center with a nature walk around it. With hundreds of resident birds to be found here it also attracts numerous migratory and visiting birds.
