colston hall patron events 2016 Lunchtime Concert Thursday 25 February, 12.15pm We invite patrons for a light buffet lunch with members of the senior management team followed by one of our lunchtime concerts. YCAT (the Young Classical Artists Trust) Lunchtime Concert Series consists of performances from some of this country’s most exceptional, young musicians. On 25th February, we welcome bassoonist Amy Harman and pianist Jonathan Ware.

Oslo Philharmonic – A Scandinavian Spring Friday 11 March, 6.30pm Join us at 6.30pm for a drinks reception before The Oslo Philharmonic who make their début at Colston Hall in 2016. The company go back to their roots with lyrical Grieg, virtuosic Sibelius and amorous Mahler, under dynamic Music Director Vasily Petrenko.

Chief Executive’s Breakfast (limited to Silver and Gold patrons) Wednesday 23 March, 8.30am Join the Chief Executive, Louise Mitchell, and members of our senior management team and be the first to hear about Colston Hall’s latest plans for the transformation and programming for the Hall.

colston hall patron events 2016 Oliver Condy Organ Demonstration Tuesday 26 April, 7-8.30pm Hear the glorious sound of our Hall’s concert organ as professional organist, Olly Condy takes us through the workings of this impressive Harrison & Harrison instrument on Colston Hall’s main stage. Please join us for a drinks reception on stage after the demonstration. This event is open to friends of patrons at a cost of £20 per additional ticket.

Backstage Tour & Wine Tasting Tuesday 7June, 6pm A chance for an exclusive ‘behind the scenes’ of Colston Hall’s 1951 main auditorium and backstage areas. The tour will be followed by a wine tasting in the Hall’s rarely accessed, atmospheric Victorian cellars with Frank Mason, Head of Events at Avery’s, who will present a selection of fine wines and fizz for patrons to enjoy. This event is open to friends of patrons at a cost of £20 per additional ticket.

Classical Season Launch October (date tbc) Celebrate the launch of our classical season with us. Every year Colston Hall welcomes the world’s finest orchestras and soloists to Bristol and this evening celebrates the beating heart of our programme. Detailed information about this event will be confirmed early-mid 2016.

colston hall patron events 2016 Jazz at the Clifton Club Thursday 10 November, from 6pm Join us to celebrate our new partnership with the exclusive members-only Clifton Club. Louise Mitchell invites patrons to an evening of jazz and light refreshments.

A Night with Jools Holland Friday 4th November We end our year of patron events with legendary composer and pianist, Jools Holland OBE DL who makes a welcome return to Colston Hall. Join us for a drinks reception before the show. “From the first it was clear that Jools Holland and company intended to take no prisoners,” says the Nottingham Post of the legendary pianist and his world-renowned orchestra. “He opened with a barnstorming boogie and when the full band entered the fray, the result was an explosion of styles and excitement.”

Private Tours of Colston Hall By Arrangement We are always pleased to arrange private tours of Colston Hall for patrons including our historic cellars and areas not open to the general public. Learn more about our eye-catching foyer, the 1951 main auditorium and our smaller venue, The Lantern. Do get in touch and we will do our utmost to facilitate a visit that suits you and your guests.
