UA Taste ready to give your business a boost The Upper Arlington Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for the 18th annual Taste of Upper Arlington. As one of the most popular summer festivals in central Ohio, this is an opportunity to build your business and your reputation within the district and beyond. This chamber-sponsored event typically hosts 10,000-12,000 visitors in just a five-hour period. What a great way to get your name out there and in front of the people who can help you take your business to the next level. As the Upper Arlington Chamber of Commerce’s signature event, there is something for
everyone. And the food! Fabulous! Mark your calendars for Thursday, Aug.11, from 3:30 to 8:30 p.m. because it is time to get in front of the people you value most, those in your own community. Last year, 130 vendors shared their cuisine, products, and services with the eager crowd. And with music and entertainment strategically spread out throughout Northam Park, “it allows for the people to check out as many of the booths as possible and have fun doing it,” said See UA TASTE, page 2
Community Market Day attracts locals, visitors for one special day Upper Arlington’s Community Market Day had people in the streets shopping for bargains throughout the day. As this grows and as we add more focus on local businesses, we project businesses will be able to benefit from the additional foot traffic in the city while residents are able to clear out their garages and make some extra cash. As the chamber strives to add value to the community and join
all occupants together, we welcomed the enthusiastic crowd that joined us May 7 to visit local business sidewalk sales and residential streets to do some Saturday shopping. Ronald Haas, owner of Darrons Contemporary Furniture, said he wanted people to know how much he appreciates the efforts of the city of Upper Arlington and the chamber of commerce “coming
together to do this.” He said he regards the event as a success, especially since so little effort was required on his part, thanks to the partnership making things so easy. As for the future of the Community Market, Ron stated that he “would love to see this become an annual event.” This is a great way to show the See COMMUNITY, page 2
