he National Veterans Memorial and Museum appears to rise organically from the ground, with its concentric arch structure and soaring glass windows symbolizing the courage, honor and inspiration housed within. The award-winning architecture provides a unique location for ceremonies and events, both large and small. On the rooftop, breathtaking views of Columbus’ city skyline and sunsets await. Grass grows around the perimeter of this circular expanse, where benches provide opportunities to linger, reflect and enjoy the views. The rooftop provides tiered seating on two sides, adjacent to a striking focal point of windows in colorful stained glass representative of military campaign ribbons. This is a stunning seasonal venue for larger events of up to 1,000 people. Inside, the museum offers gathering and celebration spaces as distinctive as the building’s architecture. A wide, sweeping path ascends from the sidewalk around the front of the museum to the Great Hall entry, flanked by sky-reaching windows filling the hall with natural light by day and the elegance of city lights at night. Wood parquet flooring throughout adds to the warmth and natural beauty, making the Great Hall a perfect location for gatherings and celebrations up to 600 people. On the museum’s lower level, Gallery 33 houses traveling exhibits in an intimate location that provides an exclusive ambiance for smaller events up to 75 people. At any given time, this space may host an art exhibit, multimedia display or artifacts, so ask our events staff about the exhibit schedule. The Franklin County Meeting Room is situated conveniently near the group entrance. This flexible space incorporates Veteran history with five marble tablets and additional plaques from the former Franklin County Veterans Memorial, which previously occupied this location. For your high-tech needs, the room is equipped with a podium, screen and projector—perfect for meetings— with breakout rooms nearby. The museum also features outdoor space created for reflection in the 2.5-acre Memori-
