Nice to Meet Hue
Twice a year, the Pantone Color Institute releases its Fashion Color Trend Report highlighting the leading authority on color’s predictions for the upcoming seasons. On tap for the first half of 2022 are colors that balance our desire for comfort with the need to try something new and playful, according to the organization’s website. “Hues for spring 2022 allow us to mix and marry as we please, encouraging the exploration of new chromatic realities, opening the door for personalized style and spontaneous color statements,” says PCI executive director Leatrice Eiseman.
To that end, traditional wedding shades like Spun Sugar, Gossamer Pink and Glacier Lake get zhuzhed up with bold tones that were made for statement pieces, like Innuendo, Skydiver, Daffodil, Harbor Blue and Dahlia.
