Stephan Byrd Canal Winchester, SO Byrd, a sophomore, rushed for 1,499 yards and 23 touchdowns on 220 carries and caught nine passes for 205 yards and two scores as Canal Winchester shared the OCC-Capital title at 4-1, made the Division II playoffs and went 9-2 overall. Byrd shared league Offensive Player of the Year honors. He was first-team all-district and the only sophomore named first-team all-state.

football Demeatric Crenshaw Pickerington Central, SR This senior quarterback helped Central win its second Division I state championship in three years and finish 14-1. Crenshaw, a Youngstown State commit, completed 124 of 167 passes for 1,693 yards and 14 touchdowns and rushed for 1,267 yards and 17 scores on 252 carries. He was first-team allstate and the Offensive Player of the Year in the OCC-Ohio and the district.

Groveport Madison, SR Edwards, a senior two-way lineman, was first-team all-state, all-district and all-league. The Northwestern recruit had 53 tackles and four sacks as the Cruisers went 10-3 overall and 4-1 in the OCC-Capital, tying for their first league title since 1982 and losing to eventual state champion Pickerington Central 23-7 in the Division I, Region 3 final.

Ty Hamilton Pickerington Central, SR This senior linebacker was a key player during the Tigers’ runs to two Division I state titles in three seasons. Last fall, the Ohio State commit recorded 120 tackles, 8.5 sacks and nine tackles for loss as the Tigers went 14-1. Hamilton, who saw time at tight end, was named first-team all-state, alldistrict and all-OCC-Ohio.

Olentangy Orange, SR A senior linebacker, Hill had a teamleading 78 tackles, including 11 for loss, and four sacks for the Pioneers, who finished a program-best 10-2 after losing to Pickerington Central in a Division I, Region 3 semifinal. Hill was first-team all-state, district Defensive Player of the Year and the OCC-Buckeye co-Player of the Year.
Luke Lachey
Hilliard Darby, JR This junior led the Panthers, who fell one spot shy of a Division I playoff berth, to a 7-3 record. A running back, linebacker and punter, Jones had 95 tackles and four interceptions, rushed for 806 yards and 13 touchdowns and had eight of his 25 punts downed inside the 20. He was first-team all-state and all-district and OCC-Cardinal Defensive Player of the Year.
Olentangy Orange, SR Dunham, senior defensive back, had 54 tackles and a team-leading seven interceptions as Orange went a program-best 10-2 overall, losing to eventual state champion Pickerington Central 44-0 in a Division I, Region 3 semifinal. Dunham was second-team all-state and first-team all-district and all-league. The Pioneers won their second consecutive OCC-Buckeye title, going 5-0.
New Albany, SR In his senior season, Hall ran for 1,545 yards and 21 touchdowns on 220 carries to help the Eagles share the OCC-Capital championship at 4-1. Hall set a program record with 340 yards rushing in a Week 3 win at Licking Heights and shared league Offensive Player of the Year honors. He was first-team alldistrict and second-team all-state as New Albany finished 7-3 overall.
Zach Hill
Westerville Central, JR This junior linebacker helped Central finish 7-4 and qualify for the Division I, Region 3 playoffs. Healy, who also played fullback, led the Warhawks with 93 tackles, including a season-high 14 in a Week 9 doubleovertime loss to Westerville South. He shared OCC-Buckeye Player of the Year honors and was first-team all-district and third-team all-state.
Reece Dunham
Centennial, SR A senior running back, Davis helped the Stars reach the playoffs for the first time and win their first City-North title. Davis rushed for 1,260 yards and 24 touchdowns on 148 carries and had 13 receptions for 238 yards and five scores. He was second-team all-state and firstteam all-league and all-district as Centennial went 9-2 and lost in its Division III playoff opener.
Hartley, SR January, a senior running back, helped lead the Hawks to a 12-2 record and a spot in a Division III state semifinal where they lost to eventual champion TrotwoodMadison. January, who also saw time at defensive back, rushed for 2,133 yards and 30 touchdowns, including 145 yards and three scores in the playoff loss, and was first-team all-CCL, all-district and all-state.
Trent Maddox
Grandview Heights, SR A senior, Lachey mostly played slotback and wide receiver on offense, totaling 57 catches for 720 yards and seven touchdowns and 337 yards rushing and three scores on 43 carries, and had five interceptions as a defensive back. The Iowa commit was first-team all-state and all-district and MSL-Ohio Back of the Year for the Bobcats, who went 7-5 and reached a Division VI, Region 24 semifinal.
Olentangy, SR Maddox, a senior quarterback, was first-team all-OCC-Buckeye and all-district and second-team allstate for the Braves, who finished 7-6 but reached the Division II, Region 7 final after a 5-5 regular season. Maddox completed 237 of 370 passes for 2,797 yards with 28 touchdowns and 13 interceptions and rushed for 379 yards and four touchdowns on 96 carries.

football Marshawn Mankins Walnut Ridge, SR This senior linebacker led one of the area’s best defenses as the Scots went 11-1 and reached a Division II, Region 8 semifinal. Mankins had 112 tackles, 19 tackles for loss, six sacks and four quarterback hurries and was named district Defensive Player of the Year in addition to being firstteam all-state and all-City-South.
Dominic Nardone Dublin Jerome, SR A senior linebacker, Nardone spearheaded Jerome’s defense and helped lead the Celtics to a playoff berth. Nardone, who also played fullback, had a team-high 107 tackles, 20 tackles for a loss, five sacks and three fumble recoveries. He was first-team all-district and all-OCCCardinal and second-team all-state, as Jerome went 9-3 and reached a Division I, Region 2 semifinal.

Jasiyah Robinson Groveport Madison, SR Robinson, a senior defensive end, had 105 tackles and a program-record 15 sacks as the Cruisers won their first league title since 1982 and a school-record 10 games. Robinson, who also had three forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries, was OCC-Capital Defensive Player of the Year and first-team all-state and all-district. Groveport went 10-3 overall and 4-1 in the league.
Mason Sawyer
Pickerington North, JR A junior defensive end and Ohio State recruit, Sawyer had 19 tackles for loss and 13.5 sacks and was named first-team all-state and all-district and OCC-Ohio Defensive Player of the Year. Sawyer also took over at quarterback in Week 3 and completed 79 of 135 passes for 1,056 yards and nine touchdowns and rushed for 386 yards and six scores on 80 carries.
Bryon Threats
Pickerington North, SR Scott, a senior wide receiver and defensive back, helped North get back to the Division I, Region 3 playoffs after missing the postseason in 2018. Scott was first-team all-state, all-district and all-OCC-Ohio after recording 66 catches for 963 yards and 10 touchdowns on offense. Defensively, he had seven pass breakups and two interceptions.
Pickerington Central, SR This senior linebacker had 180 tackles, five tackles for loss, four sacks and three interceptions for the Tigers, including an interception midway through the third quarter of a 28-21 victory over Mentor in a state semifinal that set up the game-winning score. Marasco was first-team all-district and all-OCCOhio and third-team all-state.
DeSales, JR This junior excelled on both sides of the ball for the Stallions, who finished 9-3 and reached a Division II, Region 8 semifinal. At running back, Quinn rushed for 1,808 yards and 20 touchdowns on 258 carries and was named first-team all-state, all-district and all-CCL. He also had more than 90 tackles at linebacker.

Hilliard Davidson, SR This senior was counted on to anchor the Wildcats’ offensive line at left tackle. Sands, who also saw time on the defensive line, was second-team all-state and first-team all-district and all-OCC-Central. Davidson finished 7-4 overall, losing in the first round of the Division I, Region 3 playoffs, and tied for first in the league at 4-1.
Dom Marasco
Westerville South, SR This senior running back helped the Wildcats go 6-5 and reach the Division II, Region 7 playoffs, their first postseason berth since 2012. Mansaray, who also played linebacker, rushed for 1,431 yards and 21 touchdowns on 194 carries despite missing time with an ankle injury. He was named district Offensive Player of the Year as well as first-team all-state and all-OCC-Buckeye.
Hartley, SR This senior linebacker recorded 115 tackles, eight sacks and one interception during the regular season for the Hawks, who finished 12-2, and was named first-team all-state and all-CCL and district Defensive Player of the Year. Sawyer also played running back, finishing the season with 592 yards rushing and eight touchdowns.

Dublin Coffman, JR This junior running back rushed for 1,125 yards and 16 touchdowns on 123 carries and caught 10 passes for 270 yards and three scores as Coffman went 10-3 overall, losing in the Division I, Region 2 final. Threats, also a linebacker, was third-team all-state, first-team all-district and league Offensive Player of the Year. The Shamrocks tied for the OCC-Central title at 4-1.
Olentangy Liberty, SR A senior defensive lineman, Tong had 60.5 tackles, 12 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks and returned a fumble for a touchdown for the Patriots, who went 10-2 and reached a Division I, Region 3 semifinal. Tong was named first-team all-state, all-district and all-OCC-Buckeye. He also saw time at punter, placing eight punts inside the 20.

This fall, the Wright State commit and first-team all-district and all-state honoree led North to records of 11-1-6 overall and 3-0-2 in the OCC-Ohio. The Panthers reached a district semifinal.

Olentangy Liberty, SR The anchor defensively for Liberty’s Division I state runner-up team, this senior center back scored 10 goals and helped the Patriots post 13 shutouts. Liberty gave up just nine goals during the regular season but lost to Cleveland St. Ignatius 4-0 in the state final to finish 18-3-1. An Ohio State commit, Collins was first-team all-league and alldistrict and second-team all-state.

Eli Dulle Wellington, SR After being Wellington’s leading scorer as a junior with 15 goals and 16 assists, Dulle moved to midfielder as a senior and helped his team reach a new level. The Jaguars beat Bluffton 4-0 to win their first Division III state title. Dulle had nine goals and 14 assists. He was MSL-Ohio Player of the Year and earned first-team all-district and second-team all-state honors.
Chris Guerra
DeSales, SR Francisco, a senior midfielder, had 19 goals and eight assists as DeSales advanced to a Division I district semifinal. The first-team all-district and second-team all-state honoree was one of just two returning starters as DeSales went 14-4-1 overall and 3-1 in the CCL. He helped the Stallions to the Division II state title as a sophomore and regional titles his freshman and junior seasons.
Sam Massick
Wellington, SR Nearly one-third of the goals scored by Division III state-champion Wellington came from this senior forward who was first-team all-MSL-Ohio, district Player of the Year and first-team all-state. Lin had 31 goals and 13 assists after having nine goals and eight assists as a junior. He had a goal and an assist in a 4-0 victory over Bluffton in the state final.
St. Charles, SR Byorth, a senior midfielder, had five goals and four assists and was named second-team allstate and first-team all-district and all-league as St. Charles finished 14-4-2 overall, losing to Worthington Kilbourne 1-0 in a Division I regional semifinal. Byorth led the Cardinals to a second CCL title in a row at 4-0 and second consecutive district title.
Dublin Coffman, SR DesRoches helped Coffman win Division I district championships and OCC-Central titles in each of his first three prep seasons. As a senior midfielder and forward, he earned first-team all-league and all-district and secondteam all-state honors as the Shamrocks finished 10-8-1 overall and 3-2 in the league. DesRoches has signed with Ohio State.

Hilliard Davidson, SR Ely, a senior forward, led Davidson in scoring with 23 goals and three assists and was named OCC-Central Player of the Year, first-team alldistrict and second-team all-state. He helped the Wildcats win the OCC-Central at 5-0, outscoring opponents 20-0. Davidson lost to Dublin Scioto 2-1 in overtime in the second round of the Division I district tournament to finish 12-3-2 overall.

Olentangy Liberty, SR Behind 19 goals and 18 assists from Brooker, a senior forward, Liberty reached the Division I state championship game, which it lost to Cleveland St. Ignatius 4-0 to finish 18-3-1 overall. The Patriots won the OCC-Buckeye title at 5-0. Brooker, who was league and district Player of the Year, had at least one goal or one assist in all but two games.
Worthington Kilbourne, JR This junior forward was Kilbourne’s leading scorer for the second year in a row and OCCCardinal co-Player of the Year. Guerra had 19 goals and 10 assists, with four goals in the postseason. He also was named first-team alldistrict and all-state as Kilbourne finished 17-1-3 overall and 4-0-3 in the league, losing 5-0 to Olentangy Liberty in a Division I regional final.
Zack McQuade
Columbus Academy, SR After previously playing for Crew SC Academy, Massick’s lone season with the Vikings included leading the team in scoring with 33 goals and 14 assists. A forward, he was named first-team all-state, alldistrict and all-MSL-Ohio, as Academy lost to Tipp City Tippecanoe 1-0 in a Division II state semifinal to finish 13-4-5. Also a standout in football, Massick will kick at Princeton.
Dublin Scioto, SR McQuade, a senior defender, had 14 goals and six assists to lead Scioto to a Division I district final, which it lost to Westerville Central 1-0 in two overtimes to finish 16-2-1 overall. He also helped the Irish win the OCC-Cardinal title at 5-1-1. McQuade was named league coPlayer of the Year, first-team alldistrict and second-team all-state.

The senior midfielder had three goals and four assists and was named OCC-Central Division Player of the Year and first-team all-state and all-district. The Shamrocks won the league at 5-0.
Isabella Ginocchi Watterson, SR After helping Watterson advance to a Division I state semifinal in 2018, this senior midfielder led the Eagles to an 11-5-3 overall record and the CCL championship at 3-0 this fall. An Ohio University signee, Ginocchi was named district Player of the Year and first-team all-state. Watterson lost to Olentangy Orange 2-0 in a district final.

Grace Poorbaugh Olentangy Orange, SR This senior midfielder received first-team all-state and all-district and OCC-Buckeye Player of the Year honors for Orange, which finished 15-3-4 overall. Poorbaugh had four goals and three assists for the Pioneers, who won the league at 5-0. Orange lost to Dublin Coffman 3-2 in two overtimes in a Division I regional final after winning its first district title.
New Albany, JR Brown, a junior midfielder, had 17 goals and seven assists to help New Albany to a Division I district runner-up finish. Brown, who also had 11 goals as a sophomore, shared OCC-Capital Player of the Year honors and was named firstteam all-district and second-team all-state. The Eagles went 12-4-3 overall and 3-2 in the league.
Riley Mullady
Hilliard Bradley, SR This senior goalkeeper made 115 saves for Bradley, which lost in a Division I district final to finish 10-5-4 overall. Keck was secondteam all-state and first-team all-district and all-league for the Jaguars, who won their first league championship since 2014 by going 6-1 in the OCC-Cardinal to tie for the title. She will play at North Carolina-Charlotte.
Makayla Parry
Columbus Academy, SR Neltner, a senior defender, helped propel Academy to a Division III state semifinal and 16-4-2 finish. It was the Vikings’ first appearance in the state tournament. Neltner, who had one goal and four assists, was named first-team all-state and all-district and Player of the Year in the MSL-Ohio as Academy won the league championship at 8-0.

Olentangy, JR Beinecke, a junior forward/ midfielder, led Olentangy in goals as it finished second in the OCCBuckeye and advanced to a Division I district semifinal. Beinecke had 13 goals as the Braves went 125-1 overall and 4-1 in the league. Beinecke, who also had nine goals as a sophomore, was named firstteam all-district and all-league and second-team all-state.
Dublin Jerome, SR Behind this senior center midfielder/ forward, Jerome went 6-1 in the OCC-Cardinal to win at least a share of its ninth consecutive league title and finished 10-5-2 overall. Mullady, a Louisville commit, had one goal and one assist in a 3-0 title-clinching win over Dublin Scioto. She was league Player of the Year, first-team alldistrict and second-team all-state.
Simone Rivard-Roberts
Westerville North, JR This junior forward was the leading scorer for North, which finished 15-4-1 overall and reached a Division I regional semifinal one season after going 9-10-1. Parry had 12 goals and seven assists and was named secondteam all-state and first-team all-district and all-OCC-Buckeye. The Warriors captured their first district championship since 2007.
Keely Snode
Dublin Coffman, SR This senior forward had 20 goals and four assists, leading Coffman to a 15-2-5 season that ended with a 2-1 loss to West Chester Lakota West in a Division I state semifinal. Rivard-Roberts, a Xavier commit, was first-team all-district and all-OCCCentral as the Shamrocks won the league title at 5-0. It was Coffman’s first state appearance since 2014.
Katie Stafford
Canal Winchester, SR Snode, a senior goalie, had nine shutouts as Canal Winchester captured its second OCC-Capital title in three years and won two postseason games. Snode did not allow more than two goals in any game and was named league coPlayer of the Year as well as firstteam all-district and second-team all-state. The Indians went 9-5-5 overall and 4-0-1 in the OCC-Capital.
Gahanna Lincoln, SR Stafford, a senior forward, was co-Player of the Year in the OCCOhio as Gahanna finished 9-5-6 overall and 3-0-2 in the league and was a Division I district runnerup. An Akron commit, Stafford was first-team all-district and second-team all-state. She had a hat trick in a 4-3 win over Dublin Jerome in the second round of the district tournament.

The Georgia Tech commit had 840 assists, 269 digs, 91 kills, 55 blocks and 32 aces and was named district co-Player of the Year as well as first-team allstate as the Stallions finished 27-2 overall and 5-1 in the CCL.

Claranne Fechter Olentangy Liberty, SR An outside hitter, Fechter recorded 341 kills and 411 digs to help lead the Patriots, who finished 18-8 overall, placed second in the OCC-Buckeye at 8-2 and reached a Division I regional semifinal before losing to Orange. The Campbell commit earned first-team all-district and second-team all-state honors.
Sarah Morbitzer
Grove City, SR An outside hitter and Eastern Kentucky commit, Michalak recorded a team-high 363 kills along with 212 digs, 33 blocks and 26 aces, as the Greyhounds finished 15-9 overall, reached a Division I district final and went 6-4 in the OCC-Ohio. A four-year starter, Michalak was named firstteam all-district and all-league.
Colleen Sweeney
Dublin Scioto, JR An outside hitter, Rothe was a standout for the Irish, who went 23-3 overall and 13-1 in the OCC-Cardinal to share the league title and reached a Division I district final. Rothe led the Irish in kills (261) and aces (59) and had 200 digs and 39 blocks and was named first-team all-league and second-team all-district.
Olentangy, SR Chitty, a libero, led Olentangy in both aces (42) and digs (620) and finished her prep career with 2,047 digs. The Rutgers commit was named OCC-Buckeye Player of the Year, first-team alldistrict and honorable mention all-state after the Braves went 12-12 overall and 6-4 in the OCC-Buckeye to place third.
Olentangy Orange, JR An outside hitter, Davis recorded a team-high 254 kills and 32 blocks for the Pioneers, who finished 22-5 overall after losing in a Division I regional final for the second consecutive year. The Kansas recruit was named first-team all-state, district coPlayer of the Year and first-team all-OCC-Buckeye for the Pioneers.

Hilliard Bradley, SR Holland, a middle hitter, led Bradley in kills (313), blocks (68) and aces (47) and had 112 digs, as the Jaguars finished a programbest 22-3 overall, reached a Division I district semifinal and tied for first in the OCC-Cardinal at 13-1. The Tennessee commit was honorable mention all-state and first-team all-district.

DeSales, SR An outside hitter, Brown helped DeSales win its first state title since 1982. The Robert Morris commit had a team-high 290 kills, 255 digs and 24 aces as DeSales went 27-2 overall and 5-1 in the CCL, defeating Parma Padua in the Division I state final. Brown was first-team all-district and honorable mention all-state.
Hamilton Township, SR Morbitzer saw playing time as both a setter and an outside hitter for the Rangers, who finished 24-1 and reached a Division II district final. The Ohio State commit recorded 602 kills, 276 assists, 304 digs, 306 serves received and 74 aces and earned first-team all-state and all-district honors.
Sydney Taylor
Hartley, JR Sweeney split time between setter and right-side hitter for Hartley, which finished 21-6 overall, 3-3 in the CCL and reached a Division I district final. Sweeney recorded 510 assists, 135 kills, 185 digs and 55 aces during the regular season for the Hawks and was named first-team all-CCL and all-district.
Watterson, JR A libero, Taylor missed nine matches while competing for the U.S. Girls Youth National Team. The Ohio State commit had 122 kills, 190 digs and 257 serves received for the Eagles, who went 21-6 overall, 4-2 in the CCL and reached a Division I regional semifinal. Taylor was first-team all-CCL and all-district and second-team all-state.

He placed eighth (16:07.5) at regional, won the district 1 title (15:59.5) and was runner-up (15:55.8) in the OCC-Central meet.

Dublin Jerome, SR A four-time state qualifier, Cook placed fourth (15:34.3) in the Division I state meet as a senior to earn first-team all-state honors. The Oregon commit also won the OCC-Cardinal title (15:22.8) and the district 1 title (15:01.4) and was runner-up (15:49.6) at regional. Cook had finished 11th at state as a junior.

Matt Duvall Pickerington North, SR Duvall ended his prep career as North’s first Division I state champion. Gahanna Lincoln, SR Led by Jackson, Gahanna had a program-best fourth-place finish in the Division I state meet. Jackson placed 21st (15:52.2) at state. He also won the district 2 title (15:56.3), placed 12th (16:09.2) at regional and finished third (16:07.4) in the OCC-Ohio meet. Jackson had finished 57th at state in 2018.
Sam Thomas
Pickerington North, SR Moore finished sixth in both the Division I state and regional meets. The Kentucky commit ran 15:36.6 at state as North placed fifth to tie its best state finish and ran 16:01.8 at regional. Moore also placed sixth (15:53.9) in the district 3 meet and was runner-up (16:01.1) in the OCC-Ohio meet.
Hilliard Darby, SR After falling short of making state as a junior, Carney broke through with his first Division I state berth, placing 15th (15:48) to reach the podium. He finished third (15:51.5) in the OCC-Cardinal meet and then placed 10th (16:17) in the district 3 meet on his home course and seventh (16:06.7) at regional.
Dublin Coffman, SR An Ohio State commit, Dediu placed eighth (15:41.3) in the Division I state meet after having finished 114th in 2017. Dediu, who was slowed by injuries and illness during his junior season, also won the OCC-Central title (15:54.5), placed fourth (15:30.1) in the district 3 meet and placed fifth (16:00.1) at regional.
Riley Jackson
Olentangy Liberty, SR Humenay finished 23rd (15:53.5) while making his third Division I state meet appearance. He captured the OCC-Buckeye championship (16:08.5), placed fourth (16:10.1) in the district 2 meet and finished 12th (16:16.6) at regional. Humenay had finished 39th at state in 2018 and 61st in 2017.
Sean Carney
Grandview Heights, JR Amicon won his final four races, including the Division III state meet in 15:42.5. He finished first of 181 runners, 17.5 seconds ahead of runner-up Demetrius Snellenberger of East Canton. Amicon also won the regional title (15:50.2), district 1 title (program-record 15:36.6) and the MSL-Ohio title (16:19).
St. Charles, JR Karas finished 30th (16:00.8) in the Division I state meet. He also placed third (15:53.2) at regional, behind eventual state champion Matt Duvall of Pickerington North (15:33.8) and Dublin Jerome’s Elliott Cook (15:49.6), and was district 1 runner-up (16:09.7). Karas had finished 108th (18:08.8) at regional in 2018.

Dublin Scioto, SR Thomas placed 31st (16:04.5) in his second Division I state meet appearance. He came in second (season-best 15:56.6) in the district 2 meet, 13th (16:16.8) at regional and sixth (16:03.7) in the OCC-Cardinal meet. In 2018, Thomas finished 73rd at state despite competing part of the race with a broken right fibula.
Worthington Kilbourne, SR Williams placed seventh (15:40.6) in the Division I state meet after having finished 96th at state in 2018. The Ohio State commit also was runner-up (15:32.8) in the OCC-Cardinal meet, placed third (15:22.9) in the district 3 meet and finished fourth (15:54.9) at regional.

She placed eighth (18:55.1) at regional and fourth (19:01.5) in the district 2 meet. Bannister had finished 31st (19:15.2) at state in 2018 and 37th (18:51.4) in 2017.

Claire MacDonald Bexley, SO MacDonald placed 41st (19:31.1) of 176 runners in the Division II state meet to help Bexley finish 12th. She placed sixth (19:06.9) at regional and fifth (18:52.9) at district and finished first (18:31.2) in the MSL-Ohio meet to lead the Lions to their third consecutive league championship.
Sydney Petersen Hilliard Davidson, SR Petersen finished 44th (19:08.4) in the Division I state meet. She placed 10th (18:59.2) at regional, fourth (19:06.1) in the district 3 meet and third (18:50.9) in the OCCCentral meet, joining teammates Lindsay Stull, Sophia Hoersten, Keagan Gehring and Alyssa Mason in finishing in the top five.

Bomser placed fourth (18:46) at the OCC-Cardinal meet, fifth (19:08.9) in the district 2 meet and ninth (18:58.3) at regional.
Big Walnut, SR Borland placed 33rd (18:57.9) in her third Division I state meet appearance after finishing 48th (19:39.9) in 2018 and 59th (19:14.5) in 2017. She placed seventh (18:49.2) at regional, second (school-record 18:30.3) in the district 3 meet and first (19:06.1) in the OCC-Capital meet to win her fourth league title.

Hilliard Davidson, SR Coming off a shin injury that forced her to miss the 2018 postseason, Hoersten placed 10th (careerbest 18:13.7) in the Division I state meet to earn first-team all-state honors. She finished fifth (18:46.6) at regional, third (18:48.2) in the district 3 meet and second (18:21.3) in the OCC-Central meet.

Hilliard Bradley, FR Jones not only represented Bradley in the Division I state meet, where she finished 43rd (19:08.3), but also was the Jaguars’ lone regional qualifier. Jones placed 14th (19:08.7) at regional, was runner-up (19:14.1) in the district 1 meet and finished seventh (19:16.4) in the OCC-Cardinal meet.

Thomas Worthington, SR Miller placed 24th (18:44.9) in the Division I state meet to help Thomas Worthington finish 16th. She finished third (18:45.4) in the OCC-Cardinal meet, second (18:51.3) in the district 2 meet and third (18:30.7) at regional. Miller had finished 68th at state as a junior.

Thomas Worthington, JR Napoleon placed 35th (18:58.6) in the Division I state meet after having finished 114th as a sophomore. She finished fourth (18:33.4) at regional, sixth (19:10.7) in the district 2 meet and runner-up (18:29.6) in the OCCCardinal meet to lead the Cardinals to the league championship.

Hilliard Darby, SR Santos placed 15th (18:19.8) in the Division I state meet after turning in a dominating performance at regional, where she won in 17:48.7, 22.2 seconds ahead of the runnerup, Hilliard Davidson’s Lindsay Stull (18:10.9). Santos also won the OCC-Cardinal title (17:40.5) and the district 2 title (18:05.3).

Pickerington North, SR This senior went 99-10 in her career with North and was a four-time Division I state qualifier and three-time district champion. Alcala, a Toledo recruit who was state runner-up as a sophomore, went 28-2 this season and placed third at state. She led the Panthers to two OCC-Ohio Division titles and records of 20-2 overall and 5-0 in the league this season.
Ella Hazelbaker Upper Arlington, JR Hazelbaker, a junior, advanced to the Division I state tournament for the second time and helped the Golden Bears to a 20-2 record and third-place finish in the OTCA Division I state team tournament. In the individual state tournament, Hazelbaker and doubles partner Wendy Shi went 1-1 after finishing third at district. UA also won the OCC-Central at 5-0.

Sydni Ratliff Columbus Academy, JR This junior advanced to her third Division II state singles final and earned her first championship, defeating Gates Mills Gilmour Academy’s Carly Cohen 6-4, 7-5. It was Academy’s first state title in singles. Ratliff also helped the Vikings finish third in the OTCA Division II state team tournament. Academy went 15-5 overall and won the MSL-Ohio at 7-0.

Dublin Jerome, SR After reaching the Division I state tournament in singles as a junior, Resor teamed with classmate Katherine Wang as a senior and reached state in doubles. They defeated teammates Arya Dudipala and Lalasa Nagireddy 5-7, 6-2, 6-1 for the sectional title and 6-1, 6-2 to capture the district title but lost to the pair 6-4, 7-5 in the state final.

Upper Arlington, SR Shi, a senior, helped the Golden Bears reach their first OTCA Division I state tournament since 2013 and was a three-time individual state qualifier in doubles. Shi, who went 1-1 each year at state, advanced this season with junior Ella Hazelbaker. Shi helped UA go 20-2 overall and 5-0 in the OCCCentral to win its 30th league championship in 31 seasons.
Dublin Jerome, JR A junior, Dudipala teamed with classmate Lalasa Nagireddy to beat teammates Reagan Resor and Katherine Wang 6-4, 7-5 for the Division I state doubles championship after losing to Resor and Wang at sectional and district. Dudipala also helped the Celtics finish 18-1 overall and win their 16th consecutive league title, going 7-0 in the OCC-Cardinal.
Dublin Jerome, JR After playing first singles throughout most of the regular season, this junior teamed with classmate Arya Dudipala to earn the Division I state doubles title after finishing runner-up at both the district and Upper Arlington sectional. Nagireddy also helped the Celtics go 18-1 and win the OCC-Cardinal. She was a state singles qualifier as a sophomore.
Reagan Resor
Olentangy Orange, SR This Pioneers senior teamed with classmate Erin Storrer to finish fourth in doubles in the Division I state tournament a year after the pair went 1-1 at state. They lost the third-place match to Mason’s Raina Chada and Annie Kruse 6-4, 6-3. Reed helped Orange finish 14-4 overall and win its second consecutive OCC-Buckeye title at 5-0.
Arya Dudipala
Olentangy Liberty, JR This Liberty junior reached the Division I state tournament in singles after teaming with Dani Schoenly to win state doubles championships in 2017 and 2018. Atway was a sectional and district runner-up, falling both times to Pickerington North’s Cassie Alcala. At state, Atway’s season ended with a quarterfinal loss to eventual runner-up Ananya Aggarwal of Mason.
Olentangy Liberty, SR After teaming with Maddie Atway to win back-to-back Division I state doubles titles, this Liberty junior saw her season end in the second round of state in singles. Schoenly lost to Atway in a sectional semifinal but went on to finish third. At district, Schoenly lost to eventual champion Cassie Alcala of Pickerington North in a semifinal but again placed third.

Olentangy Orange, SR After a third-place finish in a Division I sectional at Upper Arlington and a fourth-place finish in the district tournament at Reynoldsburg, this Orange senior and doubles partner Kortney Reed placed fourth in the state tournament. Storrer also helped the Pioneers capture the OCC-Buckeye championship.
Dublin Jerome, SR This senior and Reagan Resor were seeded fourth in a Division I sectional at Upper Arlington but won the title by defeating their third-seeded teammates, Arya Dudipala and Lalasa Nagireddy. Wang and Resor didn’t lose a set at district and beat Dudipala and Nagireddy for the title before losing to their teammates in the state final.

Griffin Mitchell Columbus Academy, SR Mitchell earned MSL-Ohio Player of the Year honors as Academy finished first in the league at 12-0. He shot a 77 in the Division II district tournament at Denison Golf Club to help Academy (308) win its third consecutive championship and scored a 158 at state to help the Vikings win their third title in a row.

Olentangy Berlin, JR Reed was the Division I district Golfer of the Year with a 72.9 average. The Kent State recruit shot a 75 at district to tie for 16th and was overall medalist of the OCC-Cardinal tournament with a 70.75 average, as Berlin went 22-6 in the league to place second behind Dublin Jerome (27-1).

Olentangy Liberty, JR Smeltzer was runner-up in the OCC-Buckeye tournament with a 73.25 average as Liberty went 19-1 to capture the league title. He shot a 73 in the Division I sectional at Darby Creek to help the Patriots finish second (303) and carded a 74 to tie for 10th at district as Liberty again was runner-up (303). He tied for 22nd (158) at state as Liberty tied for fifth (637)..
Columbus Academy, SR Cammeyer helped Academy capture its third consecutive Division II state title. He finished in a threeway tie for second (151) in the tworound tournament at NorthStar to earn first-team all-state honors as the Vikings scored a 615 to easily outdistance runner-up Kettering Alter (644). He also earned firstteam all-league honors as the Vikings won the MSL-Ohio title.
Dublin Coffman, SR Hazen helped Coffman earn a Division I sectional title at Darby Creek and finish sixth at district. He was sectional medalist with a 71 and shot a 72 at district to place sixth. In the OCC-Central tournament. he averaged 75.75 to finish third and earn first-team all-league honors as the Shamrocks went 17-3 to place second to UA (19-1).

Westerville Central, JR Qian tied for eighth (152) in his first appearance in the Division I state tournament. He carded a 70 at district to tie for the best score after 18 holes but placed second after a two-hole playoff. Qian also was overall medalist in the OCC-Buckeye tournament with a 72 average, finishing first in two of the four rounds.

Hilliard Davidson, SO Burton represented Davidson in the Division I district tournament, shooting a 73 to tie for seventh of 72 golfers. He had a 74.75 average in the OCC-Central tournament to earn first-team all-league honors, as Davidson went 12-8 in the league to place third behind champion Upper Arlington (19-1).
Wellington, SR Trailing by four strokes after the opening round of the Division III state tournament at Ohio State’s Scarlet Course, Schumer carded a 73 in the second round for a two-day total of 148 to earn the state title. He led the Jaguars to a state runner-up finish (644) after helping them win the state title in 2018 when he placed third.

Soma placed third in the OCCOhio tournament with a 77 average.

Kary Hollenbaugh New Albany, SO Hollenbaugh was a mainstay on the Eagles’ Division I state championship teams the past two seasons. She averaged 73.19 in 2019, including 71.75 in the postseason, and carded a 69 to win sectional medalist honors at Blacklick Woods. She was first-team allOCC-Cardinal with a 77.75 average.
Madison Spiess
Grove City, JR Saur earned the program’s first state berth, tying for seventh (145) in the Division I state tournament to earn second-team all-state honors. She carded a 78 at district to tie for sixth and earn an individual state berth and helped Grove City win its first OCC-Ohio title while earning overall league medalist honors with a 73.8 average.
Delaware Hayes, SO Dye is coming off a season in which she earned overall medalist honors for the OCC-Cardinal tournament with a 74.5 average as the Pacers tied for second at 20-6. She also was medalist in the Division I sectional at Royal American with a 72 and carded an 82 at district to tie for 13th, finishing four strokes behind the final individual state qualifier.
Upper Arlington, SR An Ohio State recruit, Hummer led UA to a Division I state runner-up finish. She averaged 73.11 and carded a 67 in the final round of her third state tournament to finish with a two-day total of 141 to place third. She placed second at the Mentel Memorial sectional with a 71 and second at district with a 73.

Upper Arlington, JR Rabadam averaged 76.71 to help the Golden Bears finish as Division I state runners-up. She had a 76 average in the OCC-Central tournament and carded a 70 to win a sectional championship, a 74 at district to tie for third and a two-day total of 149 at state to tie for 15th as UA made its first state appearance since 2016.

New Albany, FR Coccia owned the Eagles’ fourthbest average at 79.09 to help them win their second consecutive Division I state championship. She averaged 76.25 in the postseason, carding an 80 at district at New Albany Links to tie for 10th and tying for 13th (148) in the two-round state tournament at Ohio State’s Gray Course, as the Eagles finished 229-0 overall.
New Albany, SO Ritter was medalist in the Division I state tournament to lead the Eagles to their second consecutive undefeated state championship. She averaged a team-best 72.78 and shot a 138 at state to finish first, two strokes ahead of the runner-up. She also was district champion with a 71 and was the only golfer in the state not to shoot above par in the entire postseason.

New Albany, JR Spiess has competed in three consecutive Division I state tournaments and helped lead the Eagles to the past two state championships. She averaged 72.81 in 2019 and finished fourth (142) at state, four strokes behind teammate and state medalist Anna Ritter. Spiess also placed fourth (144) at state as a sophomore and third (142) as a freshman.
Pickerington North, JR Tasney led the Panthers to second place in the OCC-Ohio and a Division I district tournament appearance. field hockey Bella Avila Thomas Worthington, JR This junior attacker earned firstteam all-state and all-Central Ohio Field Hockey League-West Division honors as the Cardinals went 16-2-2. Avila had 19 goals and 12 assists, delivering hat tricks against Dublin Jerome in a district semifinal and Watterson in the regular season. Coach Terri Simonetti Frost called Avila one of the team’s fastest players.
Faith DiMantova Olentangy Liberty, SR This senior center midfielder was a standout on defense as well as creating on offense as the Patriots finished 12-6 overall and second in the COFHL-West at 6-2. DiMantova earned first-team allleague honors while finishing with nine goals and 15 assists and has committed to Franklin & Marshall. She had a hat trick in a 5-0 win over Olentangy Berlin on Oct. 7.
Brooke Mason New Albany, SR Mason, a senior forward/midfielder, was a four-year contributor and the top scorer for the best team in New Albany’s eight seasons. The Saint Louis commit scored 16 goals as the Eagles went 14-5 overall and 6-2 in the COFHL-East, losing to eventual state champion Columbus Academy 3-0 in their first district final. New Albany set a program record for wins.
Lauren Scott Worthington Kilbourne, SO After the Wolves lost 11 seniors from its 2018 team, which reached the program’s first district final, they found a new scoring leader in this sophomore forward. Scott finished with 14 goals, including one in a 3-1 loss to New Albany in a second-round district tournament game, and was named second-team all-league. Kilbourne finished 8-8-1.
Regan Cornelius Columbus Academy, JR A junior midfielder, Cornelius helped Academy capture its second consecutive state championship and 12th overall. Cornelius scored off a penalty stroke in the Vikings’ 1-0 win over Shaker Heights in the state final and finished with 22 goals, 14 assists and 100 steals. She was first-team all-state, all-region and all-league. Academy finished 20-0-1.
Mollie Estepp Thomas Worthington, JR A three-year regular who started at midfielder, Estepp was a first-team all-league and allstate honoree who had 12 goals and 23 assists as a junior. She helped Thomas advance to the state tournament for the fifth consecutive season. The Cardinals lost to Shaker Heights 2-0 in a semifinal to finish 16-2-2 overall, but they won the COFHL-West at 8-0.
Alex Picolo Watterson, JR Led by this junior attacker, Watterson reached its 17th consecutive district final despite having just two seniors. Picolo earned first-team all-league and all-state honors as the Eagles went 13-5 overall and placed second (7-1) in the COFHL-East. She scored her team’s only goal in a 2-1 overtime loss to Thomas Worthington in a district final.
Kiersten Thomassey Columbus Academy, SR A senior midfielder and North Carolina commit, Thomassey had 18 goals, 19 assists, 93 interceptions and 100 steals as Academy captured the state championship and outscored opponents 108-2 while finishing 20-0-1 overall. Thomassey also helped the Vikings win the COFHL-East title at 8-0. She was named first-team allstate, all-region and all-league.

Thomas Lennox
Thomas Worthington, SR Carver scored a team-high 97 goals, including 16 in the state tournament held at Cincinnati Princeton and Mason as the Cardinals went 3-1 and placed ninth of 14 teams. Eight of his goals at state came in a 15-4 victory over Mason. The Cardinals finished 23-12-1 after going 8-25-1 in 2018.
Seth Miller
St. Charles, SR Lennox, an attacker, helped lead St. Charles to a second consecutive state championship with a 9-8 win over Upper Arlington in the final. He had 160 goals, 54 assists and 115 steals and was named the state Field Player of the Year as well as to the allstate tournament team. The Cardinals went 3-0 at state to finish 42-5.
Avery Voss
St. Charles, SR Miller was named state Goalkeeper of the Year for the second consecutive season as St. Charles repeated as state champion and won its sixth state championship overall. He finished the season with 269 blocks while allowing 206 goals in 47 matches and made the all-state tournament team for the second year in a row.
Andrew Winget
Upper Arlington, JR Voss scored 68 goals as the Golden Bears finished as state runnersup. He added 32 assists, 106 steals and 14 blocks for UA, which went 25-14, including 3-1 at state, losing to St. Charles 9-8 in the state final. Voss had 62 goals as a sophomore for the Bears, who were seeking their first state title since 2012.
Worthington Kilbourne, JR Winget was the offensive leader for Kilbourne, totaling 84 goals, 56 steals and 38 assists as the Wolves finished 12-19. He had nine goals, five assists and three steals over three games in the state tournament, in which the Wolves went 1-2, beating Sylvania 18-5 to finish 13th of 14 teams.

Melanie Fisher
Upper Arlington, JR Colombo recorded 125 goals, 30 assists and 72 steals as the Golden Bears went 22-2-1 and won the state championship, defeating the Cincinnati Mavericks 10-8 in the state final at Cincinnati Princeton. Seven of Colombo’s goals came in the state final. She had a team-leading 120 goals and 33 assists as a sophomore.
Lydia Muldoon
Worthington Kilbourne, SR Fisher led Kilbourne with 86 goals, 69 steals and 34 assists as the Wolves finished 24-6-1, including 21-4-1 against Ohio programs, and earned a third-place finish in the 10-team state tournament with a 17-4 victory over Cincinnati Princeton. Fisher had 43 goals and 36 steals as a junior.
Izzy Thomas Thomas Worthington, JR Thomas, a goalkeeper, led an inexperienced defense for the Cardinals, who finished 11-20-1. She finished the season with 217 saves and 21 steals for the Cardinals, who went 1-3 and placed eighth in the 10-team state tournament. She also started in goal in 2018 when the Cardinals placed fifth at state.
Upper Arlington, JR Muldoon had 35 goals, 29 assists and 71 steals for the Golden Bears, who captured their first state championship since 2016. According to coach Dan Peterkoski, she was a facilitator offensively and defensively for UA, which defeated the Cincinnati Mavericks 10-8 to capture the program’s fifth title in seven years.
Adrienne Wachtman Upper Arlington, SR Wachtman, a goalkeeper, helped the Golden Bears win their 17th state championship but first in three years. The Bears’ starting goalie since the end of her sophomore year, Wachtman recorded 183 saves this season for UA, including five in the Bears’ 10-8 victory over the Cincinnati Mavericks in the state final.
