Nobody wants to think about who they’d call if they or a loved one is diagnosed with a brain aneurysm. However, the doctor you choose to treat the condition often makes the difference. “It’s a very technically challenging area. Timing and experience matter,” says Dr. Robert Gewirtz, who has focused on treating aneurysms for much of his 24-year career. “We’re dealing with blood vessels that are only a couple millimeters in size.
