Teacher Responsibilities: Upper School
Draft Teacher Responsibilities: Upper School
Classroom Priorities (prior to the start of year) To maximize space in classrooms and to ensure ease in cleaning in the evenings, teachers will remove any unnecessary books and personal items from their rooms and workspaces. Teachers will likely teach in multiple spaces, and we’ll likely have a teacher workroom where you can have a desk, bookshelf, filing cabinet, etc.
Duties/Responsibilities (during the school year) First period teachers will be in their classroom as students arrive to welcome them and get the morning work started. Any teacher who does not have a first period class will assist with student drop-off or other duties as assigned. Temperature checks will occur outside in the carline.
Teachers will be asked to supervise and assist students with the cleaning of desks and chairs between classes and ensuring that students use hand sanitizer (or wash hands) regularly, particularly between classes or before eating.
Teachers will be asked to supervise lunch every day in their classroom with their advisory.
At the end of the day, teachers will help coordinate the dismissal of students and then have the remaining time for planning and other things they need to do.
Attire We will relax our dress code for faculty for the 2020-2021 academic year. Faculty are welcome to dress in easily-washable clothing that allows for work in various spaces on campus. Athletic or workout wear is prohibited. All clothing should be neat, clean and without holes. CSG Spirit wear is encouraged!
Attendance Policy Policy and guidelines will be sent as soon as they have been finalized.
