OFFICES & PROGRAMS Afr ican A merican Male Initiative The African American Male Initiative strives to increase recruitment, retention, and graduation rates of African American males at CSU. Our on-campus programming is done through the student organization known as Collegiate 100. Diversity Pro grams and Ser vices (ODPS) ODPS provides ser vices that promote successful college experiences for diverse populations. These ser vices aim to foster student development, increase cultural awareness and provide lear ning outcomes which are globally focused. Gr eek Life Greek Life makes up 5% of the CSU community and continues to grow spanning across three inter national councils including IFC, NPC and NPHC. Greeks ser ve the campus as leaders, innovators and award winning students. Greek students are involved not only at CSU, but also in the community averaging more than 10,000 hours of community ser vice per year. Miss CSU is an annual scholarship pageant promoting women’s involvement and academic achievements. The winner goes on to compete for Miss Georgia and represents CSU in many events throughout the campus and community. students.columbusstate.edu/misscsu
P ar ent and Family Connection The Parent and Family Connection focuses on providing resources and suppor t for parents and family members of Columbus State University students. In addition to monthly e-mails and newsletters, Parent and Family Day is hosted each semester, providing oppor tunities for students and their family members to enjoy a weekend of fun, food and enter tainment. parents.columbusstate.edu
RO AR Orientatio n The ROAR Orientation program strives to make the transition to CSU successful by providing interactive programs and resources insuring the transition to a Cougar. ROAR annually hosts multiple orientation sessions for incoming freshmen, non-traditional and transfer students who will begin classes at CSU. orientation.columbusstate.edu
Student Activities Council The Student Activities Council (SAC) organizes programs for the student body by planning events that fit the current needs and interests of the students. SAC also offers oppor tunities for students to lear n and engage in the event programming process.
