We aim to provide our children with the skills and enthusiasm they will need to become lifelong learners. To ensure our children achieve excellence for all, we are proud to be the first primary phase academy of The Cam Academy Trust (formerly Comberton Academy Trust). HIGH ACHIEVEMENT FOR ALL

We ensure all our pupils achieve and are suitably challenged. Our creative curriculum enables pupils to learn by immersing themselves in topics, leading their own learning and discovering a depth of knowledge and understanding. Our high expectations and aspirations enable all our learners to make the best possible progress.

A POSITIVE & CARING ETHOS

Gamlingay First School provides a warm, friendly and secure environment for pupils, staff and parents. Every individual is nurtured and encouraged to succeed as an individual. Our dedicated staff always ensure they go ‘that extra mile’ for all pupils and their parents, to provide appropriate support and expertise. We believe in an open door policy and that a strong parent partnership is key to success.

WIDER EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES

Throughout the year, all our children are able to engage in a wide range of educational opportunities both in and out of school. Every child participates in a range of performances, clubs and festivals. School visits are diverse, from members of the local community coming in to school to share their expertise, to trips further afield and residentials for the oldest children in the school. We believe in developing the whole child and have dedicated Forest School sessions throughout the year. Each child has regular opportunities to achieve, gain confidence, increase their resilience and improve their problem-solving skills through hands-on learning experiences in a natural environment.

The school is very caring and the environment is welcoming, stimulating and enjoyable for the children. The children are confident and respectful of staff and each other. Gamlingay First School parent
