Identification Solutions Product Families

PRINTABLE TUBING World leaders and innovators of a managed marker system, TMS System Six™ products lead the way in ensuring operators can easily print, identify, pick, and then place printed markers onto wires or cables with ease. The adhesive strip that covers the markers helps to keep the markers flat and offers optimum material coverage for printing whilst ensuring a smooth transition under the print head; this avoids unnecessary print head movement. The range of materials cover high performance and commercial applications such as military, low-fire hazard, fluid resistant, high temperature, and electrical or electronic use. Laser beam technology can also be used to mark these products.

PRINTABLE TAGS Innovators and global leaders in tie-on cable marker tags used to identify large cables, wire bundles, or pipes. Due to customer demand two formats are available; (1) a continuous reel of material and (2) organised onto a paper carrier. The flat continuous sheet has precision cut shapes and ensures operators can easily lift the markers as required. The organised variety are supplied on backing paper which can be written on with a pen if required and are easily removed once printed. The material choices ensure all industry needs are matched. Laser beam technology can also be used to mark these products.

STANDARD LABELS Adhesive labels are a cost-effective way to identify wires, wire bundles, and equipment. The range of standard formats and materials have been developed over 40 years and proudly manufactured to cover all known industrial needs. In order to meet customer demand high volume computer printable products and low volume hand written labels are available; for example self-laminating printable vinyl labels for volume users and as pocket books for low volume installer use. The materials offered are used regularly in technical applications in aerospace and defence as well as standard applications such as electricians and panel builders. Our experience tells us our materials match market needs.

PRE-PRINTED MARKERS Quick and simple to use. The pre-printed marker range are established leaders in the wire marking field. Over 60 years’ experience in manufacturing pre-printed markers ensure that the Clip-on, SnapOn and Push-on wire markers are a perfect product for low volume installers. They are used to identify wire bundles, cables, pipes and conduits. These markers come pre-printed and ready to use with individual letters, numbers and symbols.

PRINTERS, SOFTWARE & ACCESSORIES TE Connectivity (TE) work on a system approach. Our engineers are continually working to ensure our products work seamlessly together. Identification Solutions Wire and Cable Identification

TMS-SCE Military Grade Heat Shrink Sleeves TMS-SCE™ marker sleeves are designed to meet wire and cable identification needs with high performance requirements. Made from durable, flame retardant, radiation cross linked heat-shrinkable polyolefin, TMS-SCE™ marker sleeves can be used in a wide variety of applications including Aerospace, Military, Motor sports and Oil & Gas. TMS-SCE™ marker sleeves meets the performance requirements of SAE-AMS-DTL-23053/5 class 1. The marks are permanent immediately after printing and remain legible even when exposed to abrasion, aggressive cleaning solvents, and military fuels and oils. TMS-SCE™ meets the mark permanence requirements of SAE AS5942 and MILSTD-202 Method 215. TMS-SCE™ marker sleeves is supplied with a 3:1 shrink ratio. The lightweight 3:1 products provide extremely fast shrinking and cover a wider range of wire diameters, thus simplifying inventory. Supplied in a “ladder format”, sleeves are held horizontally between two hole-punched polyester strips and offers ease of printing and kitting.

TMS-SCE-2X Military Grade Heat Shrink Sleeves TMS-SCE2X™ marker sleeves are designed to meet wire and cable identification needs with high performance requirements. Made from durable, flame retardant, radiation cross linked heatshrinkable polyolefin, TMS-SCE2X™ marker sleeves can be used in a wide variety of applications including Aerospace, Military, Motorsports and Oil & Gas. TMS-SCE2X™ marker sleeves meets all of the requirements of SAE-AMS-DTL-23053/5 classes 1 and 3. The marks are permanent immediately after printing and remain legible even when exposed to abrasion, aggressive cleaning solvents, and military fuels and oils. The sleeves TMS-SCE2X™ marker sleeves meets the mark permanence requirements of SAE AS5942 and MIL-STD-202 Method 215, both before and after shrinking. The 2:1 products provide a thick, rugged sleeve wall and are particularly easy to handle. Supplied in a “ladder format”, sleeves are held horizontally between two hole-punched polyester strips and offers ease of printing and kitting.

HX-SCE Low Fire Hazard Heat Shrink Sleeves HX-SCE thin walled, zero-halogen, low smoke, low toxicity, radiation cross-linked, polyolefin heat-shrinkable tubing, is assembled as cut sleeves organized in a ladder format. Ideal for applications where limited fire hazard characteristics are necessary. The zero halogen material coupled with low smoke and low toxic fume emissions make this product best used in enclosed spaces such as Mass Transit, Marine and Industrial applications. D-SCE Fluid Resistant Heat Shrink Sleeves D-SCE markers are used to identify wires and cables where exposure to organic fluids, especially oils, is required. D-SCE markers are designed to operate in elevated temperatures for extended periods of time, making them ideal in Aerospace, Rail and Marine industries. D-SCE markers are suitable for use in environments with temperatures of – 75°C to +135°C (– 103°F to +275°F), and will provide strain relief, insulation and protection from mechanical abuse. Supplied in a “ladder format”, sleeves are held horizontally between two polyester strips and offers ease of printing and kitting. D-SCE markers come standard with side scoring for ease of removal after printed.

HT-SCE High Temperature Heat Shrink Sleeves HT-SCE wire markers are designed for use in high temperature applications or where extreme resistance to fuels, lubricants and cleaning solvents is required such as Aerospace, Military, Industrial and Semi-conductor applications. Ideal for applications where low vacuum out-gassing is of high importance. HT-SCE markers are made of highly flame retardant, heat-shrinkable fluoropolymer tubing. After shrinking, HT-SCE markers meets the print performance requirements of SAE AS5942 and MIL-STD-202 Method 215. HT-SCE is supplied in boxes of 250 sleeves and are available in nine diameter sizes. Suitable to cover substrate diameters from 0.8mm to 34mm. Because of this versatility, inventory is minimized. Supplied in a “ladder format”, sleeves are held horizontally between two polyester strips and offers ease of printing and kitting.

Manufactured using a specially developed radiation cross-linked polymer, CM-SCETP markers are resistant to many fluids, lubricants and solvents used in various industries such as, but not limited to Mass Transit, Industrial, Oil & Gas, Military and Aerospace. SBP Self Laminating Vinyl Labels SBP is a thermal transfer printable, transparent vinyl film with a permanent acrylic adhesive supplied with a white printable area, which is over-laminated upon application with the transparent portion of the label. This “self-laminating” feature protects the printed area from exposure to oils, solvents, moisture and abrasion. SBP has excellent conformability to round, irregular and flexible surfaces making it ideal for wire and cable identification, including flat ribbon cables that are subject to repeat bending.

SP Self Laminating Polyester Labels SP is a thermal transfer printable, low profile translucent polyester film with a permanent acrylic adhesive. Supplied with a white printable area, which is over-laminated upon application with the translucent portion of the label. This ‘self-laminating’ feature better protects the printed area from exposure to oil, solvents, water and abrasion. SP has excellent conformability to round, irregular or flexible surfaces and is ideal for wire & cable identification, including flat ribbon cables that are subject to repeated bending. SP is recommended for when temperature resistance can’t be achieved with vinyl SBP.

Identification Solutions Industrial Labels

HW High Tack White Polyester Labels HW is a thermal transfer printable white polyester film with a high tack permanent acrylic adhesive. Designed for application to rough surfaces or where increased adhesion is required, HW is also excellent for bar-coding, electronic PCB, component and general labelling applications. The high tack adhesion of HW will bond to the most demanding surfaces, including textured and contoured surfaces.
