This edition of Articles, and this year's Co-MIssion Sunday focuses on church planting. This is hardly surprising as we are a church planting network. But we want to go back to the reason we exist. Why does London need church plants? Why do we need people in our churches who pray for, support and join church plants? And what happens once a church has been planted?
We plant churches to reach the lost - we plant churches to reach the lost souls of London who, without Christ, will be lost for eternity. We don't do it for the numbers, the status, or the dots on the map. We plant churches because people's lives are at stake.
And so we hope that through calls to evangelism from Pete Woodcock and Tom Heasman, stories of evangelistic activities taking place in Catford, Sutton, Mayfair and Putney, and a call for unity in the work we do from Andy Harker that we will be encouraged as a network: encouraged to keep doing what we are doing, encouraged to keep planting churches, and most of all encouraged by the truth
