ITS SIMPLEST FORM, A GUITAR IS JUST A HOLLOW BOX MADE OF WOOD. IT'S UP TO YOU

Whan you think about it, it6 amazing that tho•• •wat .ounda can coma fro m a wooden box. But quit thinking about it. And play. wn·1,. u• at 1940 Gr!k.p;. ~y, El Cajon, CA 92020 /or th" dea4r near you.

To everyone who feels like they got to California about ten years too late: you're still in time. How many times have we all heard about how much house you could buy for the money, three years ago, five years ago, ten years ago? Well, don't be discouraged. There's still a place where you can get a really nice neighborhood, a big house with a real yard, and all the stars you can count at night. It's in the Temecula Valley. And - we'll be truthful -you'll have to drive a bit to get here. But, if you're willing to trade-off a little more time in your car, you can get a house big enough to hold your future. Kids. Dogs. More kids. Or just the two of you. Whatever you want. We're building a community here, called Redhawk. With a magnificent golf course. A brand new school. Parks, for after school. Yet you can still see sheep in the hills on your way to work. It's the kind of place where it just feels good to look around and feel the breeze. It's a breeze that comes down through a passage in the mountains called the Rainbow Gap, and blows over the town. (Yes, it's really called the Rainbow Gap. We told you this was a place for optimists.) You're welcome to come out anytime, and look around. We think you'll agree, once you see it, that you're just in time. For more information, call 1-800-662-HAWK.

~ REDHAWK. You reach Redhawk by travelling Interstate 15 to Highway 79 South, then to Redhawk Parkway.

Sometimes it's more organization than anything else ." Phil Hamlett, art director; Executive Arts, design firm . Cover for an elementary school math textbook. "We wanted the shots to become more and more sophisticated as the related books went up in grades, kindergarten through seventh grade . It was a real concept-heavy project, very complex, but fun ." THE

LINCOLN FOUNDATION ANNUAL REPORT NINETEEN HUNDRED NINETY·TWO

ANNUAL REPORT FOR THE LINCOLN FOUNDATION, WHICH

through its use of photography draws parallels between some of the things that Abraham Lincoln did to help mankind and action the Foundation ha undertaken to help the citizens of Lincoln , Nebraska. "The challenge included combining old photography from the state historical society and new photography of grant recipients ," said designer Carter Weitz of Bailey Lauerman & Associates , located aptly-in Lincoln. "Antique typographic techniques were used to support the historical comparisons," Weitz explained . The report has garnered positive feedback from its board of directors and members.
