We reside on opposite coasts and maintain a very non-traditional partnership. We both work from home offices and communicate via cell phones, e-mail, instant messenger and telepathy. For illustration projects we work with our rep Frank Sturges, but sometimes clients just throw stones at our windows late at night. When not at the computer, we can often be found wrestling with the photocopier, drawing in comfortable chairs or raiding used book stores and flea markets for source material.
Environment:
We believe images should be simple, memorable and must possess a quality of familiarity. We want our work to resonate conceptually, emotionally and stylistically.
Philosophy:
1 “Cover and jacket design for Elizabeth H. Winthrop’s debut novel.” Alice Wright, art director; Jason Kernevich, designer/ illustrator; Hodder & Stoughton, U.K., client.
