One of the most significant changes in Norman Laliberte's life was the formation of delSol Productions in the spring of 1962, at Notre Dame, Indiana. Ed McMahon (Tonight Show), James Cronin, Joseph Bogart and Laliberte organized them~elves to produce animated films. In late 1963 the group moved to Ossining, New York, to work on the design of the Vatican Pavilion at the New York World's Fair. Today, the corporation ha.s, with the assistance of a staff of about ten people and the energies of agent Holly Carpenter, expanded into an organization which produces films, exhibitions, motion-picture credits, slide presentations and industrials. The delSol retail product line includes toys, game3, dolls, banners, rugs, wooden wall pl~ques, silk-screened appointment cards and flower, animal and zodiac prints. The future will see more games and a lot of wild ideas. "If you have to mass-produce" states Laliberte, "the important thing is to feed the machine properly". 71
