"Mike Normal ," the talking head in a live action performance to demonstrate a new piece of Silicon Graphics equipment at Siggraph 88 . Twenty-seven laser scans were made of Mike Gribble and used by Ken Cope to model the computer puppet. Brad deGraf and Michael Wahrman were the technical directors , Trey Stokes was the head puppeteer. The head is really more like a mask since the back and top of the head were eliminated to cut down on the memory required. The distortions shown here are some of the unlimited number of possibilities.

"Harry 2" was created for the TED2 Conference . The model for Mike was used again with Ken Cope making some adjustments and adding the mustache and glasses . Greg Ercolano was technical director and Trey Stokes was the puppeteer .
