Debbie Hanley, Daisy Art Studio
Location: Seattle, Washington. Duration: I have been illustrating for thirteen years. but changed focus and medium about three years ago . The previous work became stale and I was getting bored . On a whim, I bought a computer and started the type of work that I had been wanting to do for a long time. It is digital, not politically correct and heavily influenced by the stuff I like to col lect from the '50s, '60s and '70s.

Staff: Daisy (the office cat) and I, so one-and-a-half. Education: B.F.A., University of Washington, 1982. School of Visual Concepts . Cultural Influences: Art history especially the art of the Byzantine era. Italian Renaissance, camera-age composition. American Pop Art and graphics of the '50s and '60s. Environment: My office is located at the School of Visual Concepts in Seattle. It's small, informal and cluttered - with a great view of the city. Philosophy: Don't take yourself too seriously.
