Second row: mark for Advanced Micro Devices, manufacturer of integrated c ircuits . Larry Bender, designer. The AMO mark was designed in 1969. In the late 70s, they entered into a new joint venture company with Siemens AG to manufacture integrated circuit development systems and Bender designed a mark for Advanced Micro Computers that would capitalize on AMD 's reputation in the U.S. market.
