QUESTION: In a busy environment, such as a school or university – how can you provide stunning and dynamic digital messaging to students, staff and visitors without dedicating a full time person?

ANSWER: DVC Digital Signage

Simply put, DVC Digital Signage is a network of displays (LCD/LED displays, Interactive White Boards, PCs etc) that you can control via your existing computer network, allowing you to change your content remotely.

It is an electronic signage system, which allows you to create and deliver targeted or broadcast messages that inform, educate and inspire your audiences.

DVC Digital Signage has been specifically designed to suit the needs of education, whereas other systems are designed for shopping centres, airports, retail etc. Three unique features ensure that DVC Digital Signage meets the requirements of education 1)

Simple to use DVC Digital Signage provides highly graphical simple to use scheduling software that takes advantage of common content creation tools, such as Power Point and Video etc. This ensures that stunning content can be created without having to dedicate a full time staff member to run the system.

2)

Flexibility The ability to send content/messages to laptops, PC’s and Interactive White Boards, which are the most regularly required, as well as TVs, Plasmas etc. Most other systems are only able to broadcast to TVs and Plasmas or require additional licensing at considerable cost.

3)

Smart If a message is sent to a TV/Plasma etc and that TV is turned off, DVC will automatically turn the TV on, regardless of make or model. This means that you are not locked in to purchasing a particular manufacturer’s screens as you expand the system over the years

DVC Digital Signage is used for a variety of purposes… Informing staff and students of sport cancellations, requesting a staff member attend the office, running book trailers in the library, Emergency alerts, Break time alerts, Digital PA system, Principal announcements (both audio and video) and much more. DVC allows you to create dramatic, eye catching content and the ability to instantly add content to provide up to date information.

The CommBox control technology is built into DVC Digital Signage allowing the system to automatically turn on/off your display screens at scheduled times (and even set the input, volume etc). The system has full control capability so it can even control devices such as a projector, motorised screen, amplifier and lights if they are a part of your signage design.

DVC Digital Signage enables administrators to send a unique evacuation message/alert to individual displays and areas of the school at the click of a single button. These messages can contain graphics, evacuation diagrams/instructions, video, audio etc .

A digital or analogue camera can be housed on the principal’s desk. This allows the principal to instantly send an audio and video announcement without having to leave their office. The audio and video feed will either appear on targeted display devices or on every laptop, PC, TV and Interactive Whiteboard around your school.

DVC Digital Signage can even span across campuses or colleges – with multiple administrators sending different content to different areas. The highly graphical scheduling software ensures message clashing does not occur.

DVC Digital Signage is 100% Australian and created by Command Systems – designers and manufacturers of control systems and education products for over 36 years.
