New CEO at HIPP

Shigeki Iwama has been appointed as the next Chief Executive Officer of Honda India Power Products Ltd. (HIPP), effective April 01, 2023. Iwama will succeed Takahiro Ueda in steering HIPP towards its next phase of expansion. Iwama expressed his enthusiasm on taking up the new role. He stated that India ranks fourth in the world in terms of demand for power products, demonstrating a huge opportunity driven by a constant focus on agriculture, construction mechanisation, a steady infrastructure impetus that also extends to the power and EV sectors. With opportunity comes the obligation to incorporate innovation and sustainability into product offerings in order to make them future-ready. HIPP will maintain its eco-friendly approach across its product line to support the Indian government’s efforts. The efforts in this new post will be centred on leveraging the unrelenting potential of the Indian market, all while building a culture of cooperation, innovation, and quality.
