Schaeffler India Ltd. has appointed Seshan Iyer as President of its Industrial business. In this new role, Iyer will be responsible for formulating and executing the strategy to drive the growth of Industrial Business for Schaeffler India. He will be based out of the Schaeffler India corporate office in Pune and report to Harsha Kadam, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer. Having an experience of over 29 years with various organisations in the Industrial Business domain, Iyer will also be a member of the India leadership team. On the other hand, the company has also elevated Vijay Chaudhury as Director of Communications & Marketing – Asia Pacific who will be based out of Schaeffler’s regional headquarters in Singapore and report to Dharmesh Arora, Regional CEO – Asia Pacific. In his new role, he will be responsible for steering the communications and marketing function, implementing overall brand development strategy for India, Japan, Korea, South East Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

CEAT Ltd. has inaugurated its largest truck service hub in Gandhidham, Gujarat in line with the expansion plans of its truck service hub footprint in India. Launched in association with one of CEAT’s esteemed dealers, Bharat Tyres Gujarat Pvt. Ltd., the inauguration ceremony was graced by Arnab Banerjee, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, CEAT Ltd. The new facility boasts a modern tyre display area, comfortable customer seating and six truck alignment bays for multiple trucks to be serviced simultaneously. It is claimed to be most advanced and largest retread unit for truck, farm and OTR tyres that has been established in collaboration with Marangoni, an Italy-based premium retreading group. Including regular tyre check-ups, the centre also offers services like wheel alignment and balancing known to play a crucial role in preventing uneven tyre wear and in extending the overall life span of the tyres. CEAT is all set to launch three more hubs across Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Karnataka respectively in the near to medium term.
