An agreement was recently inked between Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (HPCL) and Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) to build charging infrastructure for Electric Vehicles (EVs) across the BMC parking lots in Mumbai. As part of this plan, charging infrastructure for all types of EVs, including two, three, and four-wheeled electric vehicles will be installed. It is expected to reduce the carbon footprint of Mumbai. This is the first mega initiative by HPCL to set up charging stations at retail outlets. During the ceremony, Sandeep Maheshwari noted that HPCL is aiming to reduce its carbon footprint, and that the company has already established 1500 EV charging stations across India, with a goal of providing 5,000 EV stations by 2025. P. Velrasu, I.A.S, underlined the importance of expanding the EV charging infrastructure and the commercial feasibility. He pledged BMC support to the noble cause. HPCL will provide 20 EV Charging Units at BMC public parking facilities as part of the project.

IOCL and MSIL partner

Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (IOCL) has teamed with Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (MSIL) to provide extra perks and convenience to Maruti Suzuki Rewards (MSR) members through the MSR programme. The MSR App. now includes a section devoted to IndianOil users, which enables them to monitor their IndianOil XtraRewards points and access features like locating their chosen IndianOil fuel station, accessing washrooms and convenience stores. This encourages customer refuelling behaviour by providing 100 XtraRewards points as a Customer Onboarding Bonus, as well as two XtraRewards points for every Rs.100 spent on petrol at an IndianOil fuel station. Members who spend Rs.25,000 in a quarter will also receive 350 XtraRewards points as part of the milestone-based additional rewards from the Corporation. Commenting on the collaboration, Saumitra Srivastava, Executive Director (Retail Transformation), IOCL, said, “We believe that this partnership will help IndianOil with deeper insights about consumer behaviour of car drivers and thus enable us to provide superior experience, as we strive to consistently enrich our engagement in this segment.”

Mitsubishi Electric and SolidCAM partner

Mitsubishi Electric India CNC announced a collaboration with SolidCAM. The collaboration agreement was signed at the CNC eXPerience Park, Mitsubishi Electric India’s Technology Centre in Peenya, Bengaluru to establish the brand as a onestop solution for Machine Tool End-users. Mitsubishi Electric India provides innovative CNC control systems to take clients machining demands to a higher performance level. The company provides CNC packages and technology to a wide range of market sectors and industries. SolidCAM is one of the most powerful CAM solution for maximising CNC machine productivity.
