SHREWSBURY - A live LinkedIn broadcast was held Dec. 21 in lieu of a ribbon cutting to announce the opening of Cytiva’s new 80,000 square foot manufacturing facility located on Route 9 East. “Today is an exciting day as we are opening our new Shrewsbury manufacturing facility,” Senior Communications Manager Colleen Connolly stated as she kicked off the broadcast. A global life sciences leader, Cytiva has more than 7,000 associates in 40 countries dedicated to accelerating therapeutics. There are three sites in Massachusetts — Marlborough, Westborough and now Shrewsbury. Connolly served as emcee of the live broadcast and as she introduced Mary Blenn, vice president, global supply chain and Jon Van Pelt, general manager, bioprocess single use & enterprise solutions, each provided remarks relevant to the facility’s accelerated build-out that took only five months to complete. According to a Cytiva press release, “Xcellerex XDR bioreactors, which provide the flexible and scalable solutions drug developers need to manufacture biopharmaceuticals, vaccines and antibodies will be

That honor goes to college freshmen Eleanor Stalcup of Northborough Troop 823. She moved from North Carolina to Massachusetts during the summer of 2019 and joined Northborough Scouting BSA Troop 823 that fall.
