By Laura Hayes Senior Reporter NORTHBOROUGH - A consulting firm has been selected to help Northborough market its White Cliffs property as the town hopes to find a private sector partner to rehabilitate the site. The White Cliffs Committee interviewed three consultants during its June 23 meeting, including the Peregrine Group, VHB and Kirk and Company. The committee ultimately selected Kirk and Company, authorizing Town Administrator John Coderre to enter into a contract. “We’re looking to put a [request for proposals] out on the street and to essentially find someone who can work with us to bring the White Cliffs back into form,” Coderre said. WESTBOROUGH - Westborough Public Library staff were already anticipating receiving a grant to fund their long-awaited renovation project. “We knew it was coming,” Director Maureen Amyot said last Monday, “but it still felt like Christmas morning.” During their July 7 meeting, the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners (MBLC) awarded seven communities — including Westborough — Provisional Construction Grants through the Massachusetts Public Library Construction Program. The meeting of the MBLC was held in Boston. Instead of going into the city, Westborough library staff held a viewing party in their meeting room to watch the hybrid meeting. Grafton business targeted by scammers By Laura Hayes, Senior Reporter GRAFTON - The Better Business Bureau (BBB) of Central New England warned community members last week about job scams after a North Grafton biotechnology company was reportedly targeted by scammers. According to a press release from the
