The WEXPO Community Leaders Forum is a unique exchange where experts speakers and panellists present on-stage to a hand-picked audience of up to 100 community leaders who complete real-time feedback based on what they see and hear over an hour of moderated presentations and discussion. Their collective feedback is analysed and interpreted in the context of uncovering trends and developing strategies for improvement.
Building Community Infrastructure is the second of two CLFs on October 24 at Blacktown Workers Club and will explore community infrastructure issues impacting upon Western Sydney including: undiagnosed mental health issues within Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities, peer support opportunities for mental health, exploring the Kids Early Years Network for families with vulnerable children aged five and under, unpacking Western Sydney’s new Urgent Care Service.

SydWest Multicultural Services is the leading Multicultural Community Organisation operating in Greater Western Sydney and the Outer West. Elfa is a Director of Settlement Services International and a Director of the NSW Council of Social Services and the NSW Council on the Ageing. Nathan Burbridge Executive Manager for Service Delivery at SydWest Multicultural Services Nathan oversees in-home care support, disability, settlement, youth and family services. He has held various senior management and executive positions in government and the community sector for more than 12 years. He specialises in both strategy and operations with a wider variety of skills applied. Daniel Angus Psychologist and Deputy Commissioner for the NSW Mental Health Commission Daniel is a clinical supervisor for psychologists with the College of Professional Psychology, and the Better Health Generation.
Ray is the CEO of WentWest which leads primary health care system integration in Western Sydney. As the Primary Health Network, WentWest commissions services into targeted areas of need and supports improvements in clinical services across a diverse catchment area. Associate Professor Michael Fasher GP Clinical Director Michael has been a general practitioner in Blacktown for 40 years. That means he has had the opportunity to care for three generations of many families and enjoys being reminded of that in common encounters on the street. Scott Walters Senior Program Manager – Partnerships & PCCG Having a background in hospital and community pharmacy, both here and overseas, Scott now works with the Western Sydney Primary Health Network to improve patient outcomes through partnership programs with local hospitals, social and health services.
