We approach the problem holistically; focusing on improving the urban environment, engaging schools to promote children’s health, and enhancing public transport, roads, and recreational facilities to encourage physical activity.

The recently launched 2k Challenge initiative is further demonstration of WSD’s entrepreneurial approach to address diabetes in Western Sydney. This program promotes a simple change - if you are at risk of diabetes, losing just 2kg can reduce your chance of developing type 2 diabetes by 30%.
