Holiday Spirit! Holiday Spirit!

This year we all need a good helping of Holly Jolly Christmas Spirit. The Fresh Air Christmas Marketplace at Daniel’s Lawn and Garden Center at 1457 Sumneytown Pike in Harleysville abounds with holly jolly spirit. Located outside in the fresh clean air is a great selection of locally grown fresh cut trees, greens, roping, and hand decorated wreathes. Special orders are welcome for yourself, your business or a fundraiser. Ask us, we can help.

Stroll our wide indoor aisles for a huge selection of ornaments, lights and holiday décor. Don’t miss the new mirror finish infinity lights. Be sure to pick a fresh plant from our alluring selection of poinsettias, cyclamen and fragrant rosemary. Customize your look with a pretty pot. A great selection is available in a variety of sizes.

Daniel’s Lawn and Garden has been in business since 1987, and has offered Christmas trees from the very beginning. “There’s nothing like a fresh cut

tree”, says Stu Strauss, owner of Daniel’s. We have the same customers coming back for our Christmas trees each year because they last long and are always fresh. Daniel’s also has a variety of artificial trees and decorations in stock. If you bring back your cut Christmas tree of $39.99 and up after the holidays, Daniel’s will give you a $10 recycling rebate towards anything in the store!

From cut trees starting at $19.99 to a new relaxing hot tub, Daniel’s has all your holiday needs covered. We

love our community and appreciate the support they give us. We look forward to welcoming you this holiday season with large open spaces for shopping. Free local delivery and curbside pickup are also available. Call Daniel’s at 610- 287-9144 to place an order or for information or assistance. PHYSICAL THERAPY IN THE WINTER part two

As winter sets in, the cold weather can pose challenges for maintaining physical health, especially for those recovering from injuries or managing chronic conditions. Physical therapy plays a crucial role in staying strong during this season.

Firstly, consistent therapy sessions help maintain mobility and strength, preventing the stiffness often exacerbated by colder temperatures. Therapists can tailor exercises to keep you active indoors, focusing on flexibility and strength training that can be easily adapted to your home environment.

Additionally, winter can impact mood and motivation. Engaging in physical therapy can provide structure and a sense of accomplishment, countering the winter blues. Group therapy sessions or classes can foster a sense of community, encouraging social interaction that is vital for emotional well-being.

Moreover, physical therapists can educate patients on safe practices for winter activities, reducing the risk of slips and falls. They can also recommend appropriate warm-ups to prepare the body for outdoor exercise, ensuring you stay active while enjoying the winter landscape.

In conclusion, embracing physical therapy this winter not only aids in recovery but also empowers you to stay strong and resilient, both physically and mentally, throughout the season. Prioritize your health, and make the most of this winter with the help of your therapist.

Holiday Gift Ideas for your elderly loved ones!

As the holiday season approaches, it’s important to remember our elderly loved ones, who may need a little extra care and attention during this time of year. Christmas can sometimes feel lonely for those who are far from family or facing health challenges, so a thoughtful call, a small gift, or simply spending time together can make all the difference.

Let’s make sure they feel seen, appreciated, and included in the holiday spirit. Here are some gift ideas that foster connection, comfort, and entertainment.

1. Comfort and wellness gifts: Heated blanket or cozy throw, nonslip slippers with memory foam and non-slip soles to provide warmth, comfort, and safety.

2. Memory and connection gifts: Personalized photo album or digital frame, customized calendar with family photos, a guided memory journal that they can pass on to younger generations.

3. Entertainment and hobbies: Audio book subscription, large print or puzzle books, adult coloring books, board or card games.
