Some of the ways they help include:
* Individualized assistance over the phone and in-person to families who have questions about their child's education and health care
* Individualized assistance for families and transition age youth to better understand and access educational services, programs, health plans, and other resources
* Information related to specific disabilities and/or special health conditions
Connect parents with other parents who have traveled similar paths through our Parent-to-Parent program
* Training geared to increase knowledge and advocacy skills, and to improve collaboration and partnerships between families and professionals
*Information regarding agencies, organizations, and community resources

This is a Center for Independent Living (CIL) based in Salina, Kansas, that provides an array of independent living services to people with disabilities
Like all CILs, we are a consumer-controlled, community-based, cross-disability, non-residential private non-profit agency designed and operated by individuals with disabilities
* We provide six core services to individuals of all ages and all disabilities
Those core services are advocacy, information and referral, peer services, independent living skills training, youth transition, and deinstitutionalization
* We can also help with Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS), Peer Counseling, Group Social Activities, Independent Living Skills Training, Programs and Supports to help with navigating the transition into adulthood, Disability Mentoring Day, Living Well in the Community, Employment Services and TNT & Ignite Life Skills Training
