Dr. Anna Jolivet Community Champion Award
Dr. Anna Jolivet was an inclusive community leader. She served all in her efforts to get organizations and individuals to collaborate and effect change. In 2019, African American Legacy Fund Advisory Board established the Anna Jolivet African American Endowment Fund to ensure her legacy continues to benefit future generations. The endowment fund supports the community investments made by the board with an emphasis on funding collaborations and organizations that promote African American leadership in our community.
2024 Award Recipients
Tonight we honor Bob and Beverely Elliott, with the Dr. Anna Jolivet Community Champion Award for their commitment and leadership in supporting the African American community in Southern Arizona.
Beverely Elliott
Beverely Elliott is the Executive Director for the African American Museum of Southern Arizona located at the University of Arizona. She is also Vice-President of Elliott Accounting. Beverely has sat on the boards of the U of A Alumni Association, Tucson Botanical Gardens, Zuckerman Foundation, the U of A School Counselors Association, Pima Community College Academic Fitness Board, Arizona Lung Association, Pima Community College Alumni Formulation Committee, the U of A Athletics Academic Integrity Board, and the U of A Black Alumni. Presently she serves on the U of A Black Community Council, and the African American Cultural and Historic Museum of Washtenaw County in Michigan.
Bob Elliott
Bob Elliott is the Founder and President of Elliott Accounting. He is currently the Board Chair of the African American Museum of Southern Arizona and serves as a board member of ITC Holdings of Michigan, U of A Eller College of Business, and U of A Black Community Council. Bob has previously served on the board of UNS Energy-Fortis, NBA Retired Players Association, AAA Mountain West Group, AAA Auto Club Partners, AAA AZ, Tucson Airport Authority, Tucson Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce, U of A Alumni Association, Tucson Urban League, U of A Foundation, AAA CSAA Insurance, Southern AZ Community Bank, Tucson Black Chamber of Commerce, YMCA, Tucson Medical Center Health Enterprises, Tucson Medical Center Foundation, and the Greater Tucson Economic Council.
