A simplified version allowing you to search ad select products, add them to a basket and order. Let’s deepdive into the types of users that work with our PromOnline® module. “Our active webshops are not accessible to the general public, but mostly for internal users. Think about resellers or employees of the organization we build this webshop for.”, Machiel explains. “For example, we manage the promotional webshop of Yamaha. Organizers of motorcycle racing events sponsored by Yamaha can order items like beach flags to place around the track.” Marit continues: “A major Dutch bank is one of our customers with a personal webshop. The bank has offices all around the country and
one headquarters. The headquarter office decides on what products are placed in the webshop. The manager of each regional office can access the webshop and order the requested number of products, like notebooks, pens and desk calendars, for their location. This means less time and effort needs to be spend on communication.” A webshop is a great solution for brands that distribute larger numbers of promotional products. “A major advantage of having a promotional webshop is having the ability to have a promotional product delivered at your doorstep within a matter of days.”, Machiel explains. ”That means we store ready-to-be-send stock in a warehouse. This is not very relevant for brands that use a couple of promotional products a year. For larger numbers, it is definitely beneficial!”

A lot of organizations make use of promotional products on a large scale. Besides distributing corporate premiums, like notebooks for office use, you can use PromOnline® for having new employees select merchandise or work clothing in their size. Or use it for a sales promotion that allows people to enter the shop using a unique code to see if they have won branded products. “Last year, we supported a sales campaign for Driscolls, a supplier of berries, with a so-called access code shop.”, Marit mentions. “In the stores of a famous German supermarket, flyers were handed out with a unique code on each of them to whoever bought a Driscolls product. With this code, you could log in to the shop and see if you won a prize. The prizes were cool products branded by Driscolls.”

After that, the process is completely dependent on the situation. “We design the webshop based on the exact needs and wants of the brand. This means, we take different steps in each webshop project.”, Marit tells. “It can take up to weeks to build a webshop with a lot of products. For each product, we need to take care of photography, product text and make sure the stock shown on the webshop is connected to the exact stock levels of the warehouse. In case a webshop should be able to send products to different countries, we need to make sure this is technically connected as well. For example, we work with a different transportation partner in the Netherlands than in Germany.” Other projects are taken care of in just a few hours. “We can also create a so-

called GroupBuy®.”, Machiel explains. “This is a small webshop that allows users to select a requested number of products, instead of directly ordering them. It tells a headquarter how many products per office are exactly needed, for example. This reduces waste. If you only want users to select the requested amount of pens and notebooks, this means we have to add just two products to the GroupBuy®. We can take of this within a day.”
