ABOUT ME
PORTFOLIO
I am currently a third-year Landscape Architecture student at the Faculty of Built Environment, University of New South Wales.
Studying at UNSW reminds me of my childhood, in which I painted and sketched my school, my house, my dad’s company & my city all day.
I have achieved many awards in mathematics professions when I was in high school and then I was given a full scholarship for studying in Australia. The reason I choose Landscape Architecture as my bachelor study was quite unbelievable. For the whole time in High School, I just sat on the table to be sunk in working with numbers, logic & geometry. One day, I realized that I felt myself getting away nature, people & little beautiful things outside and I found Landscape Architecture was the where I could make my world more ecological, friendly with environment that I and all of people could live within & enjoy our lives.
Landscape Architecture not only helps me to understand the way people use spaces but also teaches me how to make them more useful, friendly-naturally and comfortable for human interaction. Moreover, I love working creatively and designing crazy stuff to explore whole of my insight potential. This portfolio expresses a selection of my works when I have studied Bachelor of Landscape Architecture at UNSW from 2011 - 2014. The projects chosen have been to best demonstrate my creativity, design skill, knowledge base, graphic communication & technical abilities.

DESIGN STUDIO PROJECT A Selection of Works from Landscape Studio Courses 2011 - 2014
Lindfield Green
Sydney Square
Parramatta
PUBLIC ROOM The site project is located in the central heart of Lindfield Suburb. Creating a new green urban square is to reduce the urban heat island in Kuring-gai area and increase

human interaction into urban environment. The concept ‘PUBLIC ROOM’ indicates the idea of designing space as building a home within the combination of nature and humanity.

REFLECTION WHAT I LEARN :
DESIGN BREAKDOWN
• How to think logically the way people use spaces in the reality. • Apply complex programs into various site within specific conditions • Resolve landscape problems at the comprehensive quality .
Developing a small-scaled concrete car park, this urban square in the heart of Lindfield Centre will create a green rooftop space, linking to current green corridor development and strengthening the strategy of reducing urban heat island effect in Ku-ring-gai Precinct.
• Connect such an urban fabric with natural & ecological processes.

HEXAGON SQUARE Sitting in the heart of Sydney CBD District, the Square is in between two of the most historic buildings - Sydney Town Hall & St Andrews Cathedral. The proposal attempts to create a new public gathering point in Sydney CBD.
10
Alongside with the strategy of George Light Rail, Sydney Square might become an ideal stop for recreational activities. The concept ‘HEXAGON’ uses hexagon shapes and beehive inspiration to create a dynamic square within the dense foliage from new planting concept.

REFLECTION WHAT I LEARN :
DESIGN BREAKDOWN
• Understand Return Brief and Working Process in the reality. • Site planning - Complex Programs - Planting Design - Connecting Neighborhood Urban Fabric • Resolve landscape problems at the comprehensive quality .
Increasing the green density urban fabric environment is an important movement for landscape architecture. Creatively designing such a monotonous concrete square, the result is how to make a feasible site planning and to work functionally together with parallel developmental projects.
• Idea of soil depth for planting tree in urban rooftop square.

ECOLOGICAL CONNECTED Alongside with new development in Parramatta City, the Parramatta Riverbank is one of the most important space for human interaction and living quality. Closed to the Parramatta Interchange Station, the site location is nearby the Centre
14
of Parramatta City & major residential areas. The concept ‘Ecological Connected’ brings nature and ecological process into a currently monolithic concrete carpark through integration of wetland and WSUD design.

WHAT I LEARN : • Understand the importance of Site Analysis & Site Response • Consider to further parallel development plan from Government • Site Survey & Grading • Design and Integrate Landform into designing landscape park • Model making and design process at the higher quality
Streetscape Development Pedestrian Improve Connection Public Transport
• Enhancing the usage quality for human interaction • Design a friendly-ecological strategy • Improve Streetscape & connection to major landmarks
DESIGN BREAKDOWN Playing with landform is a designing approach to design site. Site Survey and Grading translate the design into a workable project in the reality.
STUDY AREA
Understanding profoundly the site conditions, the riverbank park is not only to express connections to developmental plan from government and but also to bring nature & ecological project into beautiful riverbank for Parramatta future development city.

URBAN LANDSCAPE DESIGN Mapping the City & Reading the Square
Bristol City, UK
Queen Square, Bristol, UK
URBAN ATLAS Bristol, United Kingdom Mapping the city with a various tool expresses the ability of understanding urban fabric, city development & urban planning within landscape conditions & various forces. The assignment indicates a huge amount of maps & diagrams, showing the developmental process of Bristol City, UK from the early beginning till now.
22
SPACE & PLACE Queens Square, Bristol, UK Selecting a significant place in Bristol City, the assignment researched & read the interrelationship of Queens Square - the heart of Bristol - to neighborhood environment and landscape condition. Under the different human perspectives, this urban poster express human interaction into the place as well as its space related to Bristol urban environment.
