bulwagan ng dangal may 5 - 20, 2016 It has been a month since fire has reduced our beloved Faculty Center to debris. As we try to reconcile ourselves with the thought of what we lost in the ashes, we rediscover the Faculty Center as a place of both convergence and divergence, fostering different meanings amongst all kinds of people who, at one point, found their feet planted on the building's vinyl floors. This exhibit explores the edifice as a structure with a life of its own, its vitality resonating throughout its history and in each of its spaces. With the tragedy as the focal point, the audience moves across FC's timeline, coming across various fragments of what once had been - burnt books, room keys, a photocopier. More than that, the exhibit recognizes the Faculty Center as the point where our individual narratives in the University converge, its nondescript walls serving as the backdrop to our diverse experiences. Employing interactive installations that play into our collective memory, the exhibit aims to locate its audience in FC's timeline, grounding us in its past, and establishing our role in its future.
